At the end of the day, if she's comfortable with her beauty, but wants to change something, let her. She knows that her fans are young, impressionable, and struggle with media's representation of their bodies. She's older, maturing, and less likely to be influenced by other people and media in terms of her looks. There have been plenty of times when I've told people not to do things that I myself do, and so what if it's "hypocritical"? If I could save someone's life by telling them to buck conventional beauty standards, but wanted to change myself, I have no responsibility not to be hypocritical. I want to get a nosejob myself, but of course I'll tell my friends that they're beautiful the way they are, irregardless, because it helps them. Everyone wants to be happy with themselves and if that's what gaga wanted then I'm happy for her. It's the lighting and angles that manipulate the shape. Same. I know it's her body and all but honestly it would personally make me feel insecure if she had something done. I'd honestly love it if she was an unchanging goddess, but she is human, and she has weaknesses/may want to change things just because she feels like it. Because she's the idol of so many people, she's held to a higher standard, which is unfortunate, because that breeds disappointment. It's kind of like when politicians are held to a ridiculously high standard, which leads to us having those who are the best actors become leaders, instead of just plain old real people. But yeah, I get where you're coming from, too. Just remember that she does mean well, and if she changes herself, we have to let it go and just hang on to that positive message for our own lives.
