But, the introduction of a generally positive statement followed by a pry-bar issue (a potential nose-job) as a tool to up-heave the entire idea of Gaga's integrity is really over-cooking the steak. I get that you like making hit threads with lots of controversy. I get that you like to get as many people riled up as possible while being able to say that you were just genuinely concerned. I get that it's easier to pass a pill off if it's crushed up and hidden in some applesauce, but come on. Be real. If you think that a potential nose-job is that much of a seismic shift, then you'd already have had enough reasons to have this whole thing fully decided by now. The coy air of indecision with "I wonder if it was all a big act" is just stirring the pot in hope of bubbles.

The nose-job is one out of many recent things that bothered me about Gaga and the image she cleary wants to establish. And yes, it is Gaga's integrity that is discussed here mainly. The nose is just an example. 

Am I saying the nose-job is what defines Gaga's intergrity? No. What I'm saying is that her statements and her contradicting them is what defines her integrity, for me.

It's not just about the nose. It's about her recent looks. It's about the fact that she thinks she can change her image by dressing in a 'normal' way. 

Gaga will probably always hold the image of the pop singer with the crazy fashion who wore a meat dress and sang poker face and the ra ra ah ah ah song. An Oscars performance isn't going to change that.

And to me, she is compromising now because this is what is giving her praise

People need to stop making the connotation between plastic surgery/facial augmentation and something so horrible. She's obviously dabbled, and there are ways she can alter her nose shape without surgery. She even follows some doctor in L.A that does that sort of stuff on Instagram.

My compliment was genuine. I've always thought you were rather good at writing things in a way that generated maximum divisive debate. If you just do this by accident, then you can still keep the compliment because whether accidental or not, you're still good at it.

Not a fan of a toned down Gaga? No big deal. I was just making sure you weren't implying that a nose job or a wardrobe would somehow knock down the years of her busting her ass and making important statements.
