Bernie Sanders support DROPS, Clinton rises

Well, the first part of this is not true. Bernie in fact has seen his support drop 3 percentage points from this time last month. Using the RCP average you sourced, we can see that Bernie's numbers peaked at 26.3% last month and have since dropped to ~23%.

As we can also see on that chart, the reason Clinton's numbers have dropped were because speculation that Biden might enter the race has increased and we have seen Biden's numbers increase over the past month, drawing support from both Clinton and Sanders (mostly Clinton though). The reason the gap between Clinton and Sanders has narrowed is not because Sanders is rising, but rather that Biden is pulling support from Clinton.

However, all indications are that Biden will not run and his actions have said as much. In the most recent poll, if Biden were not included then Clinton's lead against Sanders turns from +18% to +29%.

You're right about these numbers. I don't think you're right about the implication of them, nor the trends being experienced on the ground.

I suppose only time will tell which way the water will flow, but its easier to gain a voter who hadn't heard of you till now than it is to re-gain one that you've lost to someone else. Bernie is still unknown by a large percentage of people that are specifically within his likely support base and operating at percentage points that are growing, overall, despite there not having been a debate. His voting records are incredible. His support for those that have been thirsty for support is decades longer than anyone else, and he's not afraid to stand for what he believes in no matter the audience or focus group. People like a leader that leads, and unfortunately Hillary seems to follow behind the issues- trying to make sure she does and says the right things to pander to whomever she thinks she needs to. The greatest Presidents we've had were not people who did that. They were people who upset the status quo of their day and fought for people and issues.

A Democrat WILL win. It's almost guaranteed.

Have you seen the Republican candidates? :smh:

i can do with Hilary... i dont think shes always trust worthy (seems to blow out BS sometimes) but ehr style is more balanced to me. Shes not an extreme lefty out to be anti economy with everything (1 ex: supports keystone)

But Bernie i dunno :rip:

Id prefer Hilary to Trump actually just cause i think hes an Ass but, Carlie Fiorina is my #1 choice :gaga:

Carson is also a very nice guy but i fear hes too right-winged even for me (1ex: supports completely flat tax, i think a slight gap is fine and beneficial)

Sanders won't win but if he did... the senate and the house would be against him no matter which party controls them. Nothing would get done in that government, it would be one of the worst situations the country has ever faced. Maybe if either party could ever get behind his policies but, neither party would back the majority of them.

Anyways, there is two options for this next election.

1. Hillary wins the democratic nomination, someone wins the Republican nomination. Bernie splits the democratic vote and the Republicans win.

2. Bernie throws support for Hillary and she wins.

And history repeats itself y'all.

George Bush.

it's a different time and atmosphere... All of the republicans are anti gay and anti women and racists... They won't win... American is far too progressive to vote for a candidate like a republican with no liberal social values... Everyone knows someone gay now... Running on that platform is a guaranteed loss...

It really isn't worth arguing with people who have a one sided view of Republicans. They'll always believe all conservatives hate gays, women, immigrants, and everything that doesn't revolve around God. Believe me, it gets annoying.

yeah... Which is why i hear some lefties automatically shoot down republicans with so little knowledge and super close mindedness.

@ajhuffman219 i also have heard "dont know him/her but hes republican, thats all i need to know"

that diesnt help u guys either. My perception if many lefties is they sound like brainless atomatons repeating the same cliches over and over society says with simmilar wording and often rebuke anything even remotely contrqdictary to it even if they know little about it...

sounds like ppl who easily fall to propaganda

republicans too are guilty of this but on this front i find lefties worse :saladga:

Economy

I agree 100%

of course im generalizing. Not every individual fits that category...

and there are things i prefer democrats over the republicans in...

But society needs to be balanced and look at pros and cons of each Government because no Government will be the superior party in ALL aspects

I happen to lean more towards Republicans over-all especially because of economy but that doesnt mean i cant admit I prefer democrats on some aspects

additionally, its not a rule set in stone. If i didnt have Carly Fiorina or a couple other candidates i like and all republicans were like Donald Trump lets say, id take Hilary Clinton over any idiot like Trump

sorry but which candidate currently in the running that's pro marriage equality, pro planned parenthood? And had a chance of winning over Trump who's currently leading your party?

yeah I thought so... Educate yourself before generalizing "lefties"...

Lion Heart

Hillary Clinton will testify before the House Select Committee on Benghazi around Oct. 22. Once Republicans realize that Trey Gowdy + co. literally found nothing on Benghazi to use against Mrs. Clinton, they'll have nothing else to go with. I don't think anything significant will come out of the email scandal -besides what we already know, so once all of this blows over I expect Clinton's poll numbers to rise steadily.
