Media praising Gaga for her red carpet look

They start the segment with discussing Gaga and they like it!

I am not a fan of beauty judges or 'beauty experts,' but it is refreshing to have people not call her names for expressing herself. :nick:

Despite popular opinion I adore Gaga's "normal" looks. This is literally the best she's ever looked apart from Nick Knight's Vanity Fair shoot.

I really hope LG5 incorporates an aesthetic of Old, Dark, Hollywood Glamour.

I don't get it.  To be what some people here want means they want her to conform to what they want all the time.  Maybe she is wearing exactly what SHE WANTS.

It's the Emmys, which is the Oscars of TV.  She was going to be sophisticated, not outrageous anyway.  But the fact that she went even further and was practically the only person on the red carpet not in a gown with her tits out makes her completely unconventional.. The focus was complete elegance to a bygone era and all focus on her face and hair, no boobs or slinky gown or bright gown to distract, just classic lines.  The fact that she shocks people by being iin this ensemble is true to who Gaga is, unpredictable.   I call it genius.

This.

GUYS.  Stop.  She is also promoting her DEAR FRIEND's clothing line and wants him to get as much good press as he can for his CLOTHING.  This isn't about her artistic integrity or 'lack thereof' just because she looks conventionally beautiful... she is literally just doing the dress and Brandon justice by not having a WIG ON and STUDDED BROWS.

It's really not that deep.  :kissga:

I love that about her! :sara:

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

When you're at a perfumery, and you've smelled so many different fragrances they give you a cup of coffee beans to smell. It neutralizes your olfactory receptors, clears you up, and re-sensitizes you to diversity in scents.

When you're comparative wine tasting and looking to deduce intricacies in wine-- a neutral sea salt can be used for the same effect between wines. Stops them from bleeding into one another and desensitizing your palate. (Gosh those two paragraphs sounded pretentious as hell! But you get my point)

----

For me, I think what Gaga is doing is clever and necessary. It's certainly okay to prefer wild fashions or these classy muted fashions. I personally like when she's wearing something incredibly avant garde BUT looks gorgeous (such as the white dreads with the mustard dress)-- that's my favorite iteration of her. But I think the public needs a palate cleanse. A moment to clear the room and bring everything down at the base of the roller coaster for a moment. Let it coast. Let them bathe. Put the eggs in the water before its a rolling boil. This will make it so that NOTHING is lost when she adds it to the pot. People won't be "used to it" like they very much became before. Many great orchestral pieces have a building crescendo. The music can't stay at the peak forever.

I'm thrilled she's serving coffee right now. She's doing exactly what she needs to to keep rapt attention. This woman STILL never has me feeling like I know what's coming next. I'm still surprised 6 years later. Let's just enjoy the ride. I'm confident that when she blasts off it'll be at least as epic as the first time around.
