I don't know why most of Gaga's absolute top idols have to be so openly rude to her or brush her off in such an ugly way. It makes them look wore than Gaga ever can. She was inspired by them and merely a fan, they should at least be considerate.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

That makes zero sense though. Obviously Gaga is inspired by her and knows her music, more than just because its "her."

Obviously, but Grace's point was that Gaga didn't have an idea.

She didn't come up with an idea and think "wow, Grace Jones would appreciate this, I should see if she'd want to be on it"

Gaga just wanted to collab for the sake of collaborating. Like I said, not saying it's "right" but you can see how it could be taken.

She seen it like the dumb kid in class wanting to work with you because they know you're smart.

cool. Now, I'm going to move on with my life.:bye:

You do that :trollga:

Lady Palutena

You're being ironic, or sarcastic... or something... right?

About Gaga? No, I sincerely didn't think of Grace when Gaga began her career, not until she explicitly said that her hooded leotards were Grace-inspired.

Adoremus in caelum, Palutena. Dea luminis.

I don't even know who she is :emma:

Ok cool. I'm not the only one.

All of these underground artist always think someone is taking their style. When in fact they were inspired by someone/thing before as well. It's one thing to pul a Nicki and NOT give credit or pay homage to the original person you got your style from, Lil' Kim. Though It's been numerous times when Gaga has said she appreciate and was inspired by this lady.

I don't care what boundaries she's pushed in the 70's/80's (yay for Avant Garde!) she should humble herself and feel honored that she's made such an impact on apparently (in her eyes) every pop stars career.

I hope Gaga never gets like these older hags. . . .

Oh... fair enough, I guess. I assume I've seen more Grace than a majority of people here because a lot of Gaga's early outfits are very similar to Grace's! She's got good taste

Well maybw Gaga already had an idea and just wanted to talk to Grace first? :emma:

She just doesn't like Gaga at all and wouldn't collaborate with her regardless of the circumstances. I wish she would stop talking about Gaga though.

And if Gaga's team is steadily reaching out to her they, really need to stop trying to make fetch happen with this lady.

It's science, bitch

Battle 4 Ur Life

No offence, but I didnt even know who Grace was until Gaga mentioned Grace back in 2008 and then I googled her.

THISSSSSS I never knew who Grace Jones was until Gaga broke into the industry. Of course I'd seen the Grace Jones fitness microphone album cover but that's about it. I had no idea that was her tbh. She definitely needs to take a sit. two or more actually.

It's sad to see someone who is so revered stoop to this level of insecurity, especially when it's in retaliation to Gaga, who has always given credit to her as a musical and fashion influence.

In all honesty, Grace Jones is a largely forgotten relic from a bygone era - when a young artist crops up and pays you respect by citing you as an influence, you should be flattered.

Maybe, it seems Grace certainly wasn't under that impression though :emma:

A Gaga and a Grace duet would be amazing, so I'm here for it. I have to agree with Grace to an extent though, it should be an artistic collaboration between the two. Not a collab for the sake of a collab
