Benji 20,113
To be fair, I think Roger Moore is considered the worst Bond ever (even with a lot of Bond movies under his belt) and as such his Bond films are rarely shown on tv. Now had she been during the Timothy Dalton or Pierce Bronsan eras (which I see on tv ALL the time) she would probably be more familiar. The Pierce Brosnan films do slay

Pharamon 6,839
“She is obsessed!” Ms. Jones said, laughing dismissively. “She’s been trying to get me to work with her forever. She’s even gone to my brother in L.A. to get him to try and talk me into it.” It was probably the other way around lol - Grace Jones was trying to stay relevant and was spamming calls to Gaga's sister but Gaga was like ''Grace who? I dont know ha''
crisTEAne 21,059
I'm not personally attacking you? You started acting shady towards me by quoting replies to me with "scalp ha" and liking posts that argued against me so I threw a little banter back to you? I then noticed you seemed to be missing the point being made to you about gay art and became hung up on someone trying to tell you what you're missing out on? I'm trying to understand why you're taking offence to someone saying gay art ... it's something to be proud of? If you're that offended by my replies, you can add me to this list to ignore my posts; http://gagadaily.com/ignore/ lmao, it's not about you. i actually agree with the comments i liked. can't i have an opinion that differs from yours? obsessed much? so grace of you. i guess you should practice what you preach: ignore me. if you hurt taylor swift, i'll hurt you back

craig 680
This is probably Grace Jones most popular known hit That's a cover of a Roxy Music classic. Slave to the Rhythm is probably her signature song, I've seen it on some anthologies.
craig 680
lol atrl and pop sites are actually only place i see her name pop up Pretty much. She was one of the opening acts for a disco themed concert in Hyde Park this summer, along with Chic and with Kylie as the main act.Comments from critics and on twitter suggest people were less than impressed with Grace's set compared to the others. elijahfan 26,285
I like how she's trying to pass herself as the ultimate original, when in fact she became someone essentially through the prism of other artists more talented than she is, like Keith Haring or Jean-Paul Goude. thehanyo 4,251
When the film Metropolis by Fritz Lang came out in the 1920's it was a major box office bomb, the studio lost millions of dollars, and critics loathed it. Almost a hundred years later, in spite of Metropolis not "charting" well here is Lady Gaga, being influenced by it. An artist's impact is not measured in sales, the sooner people understand that the better. Grace is being unpleasant, but she isn't being untrue. If a stranger walked up to you at a party and literally washed your feet, as Gaga did to Grace, it would be fair to say they were obsessed with you. And there is nothing wrong with that. oh, honey, but your Metropolis example only supports my point, not yours lol. The aesthetic of Metropolis is what remains iconic. The movie itself is still not considered very good. That didin't change. But it has a visual and aesthetic legacy... just like Grace. also, let me remind you of the word "pop". You know it's short for "popular," right? It's quite literally about who is more popular when it comes to measuring success in the pop world. gaga isn't creating indie music. if she were, then that's how we'd be measuring her success. Sister 9,907
That's a cover of a Roxy Music classic. Slave to the Rhythm is probably her signature song, I've seen it on some anthologies.True, but I have always heard this one more, out at gay and alternative discos all around America. Sometimes a cover by one is more popular than an actual original song. This is the go to Grace Jones song even at drag shows in America. The future's uncertain and the end is always near. StrawberryBlond 14,872
I can't fathom why she feels the need to be so mean to someone who looks up to her. If I were an artist and a fellow artist who I disliked looked up to me, I'd be flattered. If they wanted to collab with me, I would do the most polite brushing off I could but would feel terrible doing it and even wonder if there's any possible way I can make it up to them. As long as they haven't been overly inspired by me or have directly stolen anything from me, I'd feel no reason to feel any ill will towards them or trash them in interviews. When someone's nice to you, it should make you feel so good that you want to be just as nice in return. Think of all the artists who have had heavy inspiration from other artists but have never mentioned them as an influence - Gaga has always been open about her influences, especially Grace. That's an amazing level of respect that any artist should be flattered to get. But Grace is just too darn stubborn and has the air of someone who views everyone as beneath them, even those who sing her praises. It's no wonder her music never set the world on fire with that attitude. It's not like this is a recent turn around - she's always been like this... Sorry, but an artist who doesn't even have basic social etiquette has no right to judge the behaviours of others.
