I love the fact she has released this song on iTunes. That means more campus-rape awareness, a door to Oscars (come on, she's probably going to be nominated if not win) + collaborates with orgs. I'm so proud of her!

Praying it gets into top 20 and stays there for at least a day.

It will be in the top 20 in 1 hour I think... Let's hope for top 10 though. It still be really early in the US. Like 12:30 pm

Ugh, do we really need to talk about the "success" of this one? It's sobering, it's serious, it doesn't exist for profit. You really think Gaga wants this song to be a "smash hit"? Please, people. Let's not screw this up.

It has nothing to do with creating a smash hit.. The song needs to get heard by the GP

yes.  I can assure you that she does.  Not for her own sake, but the sake of millions.  Our chart obsession this time around isn't just so we can see her on top.  We believe in the message and the song itself.  So let's make it a smash hit.

If it becomes a smash hit it will bring way more awareness, just as "Fight Song", "Born This Way", "Take Me To Church". Why would she release a song on iTunes if she doesn't wanna sell? I don't think she's really into promoting this song as one of her massive-pop hits (Born This Way, Poker Face, Bad Romance) but I guess it would be cool to have a song that makes sense at Billboard Top 10s for once this year. And come on, we all want to see Gaga back on top, whatever the song is. It makes us happy to see Gaga earning success with a serious, sobering, emotional, empowering song like this.
