DrewStevens 5,249
Take a look at this picture. Do all of these look like a possible suitcase bomb? If they thought it was a bomb, why wasn't the whole school evacuated? Why didn't they call a bomb expert? If it was really a bomb they would all be dead by now because they did nothing to protect the school, they only arrested the kid. He was not allowed to speak to his parents or a lawyer or have those people present while detained by authorities. That's a violation to his civil rights. One police officer said "Yup. That’s who I thought it was." when he was escorted. That's obviously racial profiling. The whole thing was a stupid mess and it only showed their ignorance and how unprepared they are. theMonster5 74
Here's a possible scenario. A guy with a pressure cooker got detained and questioned by police. People in the media try to defend him even Obama. Guy: This is just a pressure cooker. I like to cook chicken and rice. Obama: Nice pressure cooker. Want to bring that pressure cooker to the White House and cook us a Christmas dinner? Zuckerberg: I want to meet you. Want to intern at FB and become our head chef? But he was released after a full investigation.Sec. 46.08. HOAX BOMBS. (a) A person commits an offense if the person knowingly manufactures, sells, purchases, transports, or possesses a hoax bomb with intent to use the hoax bomb to:(1) make another believe that the hoax bomb is an explosive or incendiary device; or (2) cause alarm or reaction of any type by an official of a public safety agency or volunteer agency organized to deal with emergencies. lego 44,165
The police knew it wasn't a bomb, but a hoax bomb so they want to do a full investigation then release him afterward. There was no reason to question him without a lawyer and his parents, handcuff him and take fingerprints like some criminal. It wasn't even a hoax bomb cause he never made it out to be one and engineer tacher knew it was a clock. In a pencil case. You people watch too many movies. " “The officers pretty quickly determined that they weren’t investigating an explosive device. What their investigation centered around is the law violation of bringing a device into a facility like that that is intended to create a level of alarm. In other words, a hoax bomb — something that is not really a bomb, but is designed and presented in a way that it creates people to be afraid.” “Right, but he never called it a bomb, right?”Hayes countered. “He just kept calling it a clock. I mean, it never came out of his lips, he never did something or started showing it around saying, ‘Look at this bomb I have.’ He said,‘Look at my clock.'” FreePalestine

I said that the police should have called a bomb specialist and evacuated the school because if it was really a bomb they would all be dead by now.You still haven't addressed how they detained him and interrogated him without the supervision of a lawyer or his parents which is a violation to his civil rights, or that a police officer clearly racially profiled him. Are you comparing a real terrorist with a boy who built a clock that looked suspicious for some people? No one would be defending him if it really was a bomb and no one would think that a pressure cooker could be a bomb if it wasn't because of that attack. Your scenario makes no sense at all.
