I have said in almost every single post that I think her sales are amazing but they don't qualify to put her in the legendary lane of live performers. She has never danced except for that shrug in Shake It Off and the times she's been bopping at award shows. So how can she "beat" people who do both vocals and choreo, have themes and have messages incorporated in their shows?Let me put it another way, just because One Direction beat Queen in terms of sales, does that mean they are better performers than Queen? No, because Queen had Freddie Mercury who is hailed as a legendary live performer. No sales in the world can take away from that legacy. Taylor has no pop legacy, she's in her first pop era. Why won't you people GET that. Good to see some Tay stans can still see that tour wise, Madonna remains the one to beat and will probably be for a really, really long time. I think/hope Taylor eventually conceptualises her eras/tours and adds choreo if she wants to pull Madonna-like box scores later on in her career. For now, she has one super successful pop era and a very impressive country career but she is nowhere near "queen of pop" or "queen of touring". Her performances are cute but they aren't demolishing anyone, it's just her numbers that are slaying. When Taylor can pop that hip and can do a show without walking from the left side to the right one 25 times, we'll talk. That doesn't make her unworthy of the NA record but it does make her unworthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as Madonna, Beyoncé and others when it comes to touring.Only when it comes to being a dancer. There are lots of good performers, who never dance on stage. Taylor isn't a dancer, never has been. Fans and the GP that go to see her shows, don't expect to see dancing or "demolishing everyone" with some dance numbers. Taylor's appeal has to do with other aspects of live performing, outside of dancing on stage...it always has. Taylor is not going to "pop that hip", because that's not what she has ever been sbout and that's not why stadiums of people come to see her! She puts on a great show, and hundreds of thousands flock to see her tour after tour, and that's why she fully deserves to be mentioned along with the two you mentioned.
