But Katy Perry touring shouldn't really make Bonnie Mckee tired.

Out of Katy's entire released discography and unreleased collection put together (which is up to 55 songs), there are ONLY NINE songs which are associated with Bonnie. Seven of them (Milk Milk Lemonade, California Gurls, Teenage Dream, Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.), Wide Awake, Roar, Legendary Lovers, and Birthday) were the ones which Katy and Bonnie wrote together and Bonnie herself has said the same thing. She's even specifically explained how she wrote them with Katy and how they're about either what both Katy and her went through, felt, experienced and wanted or how they were just about Katy's experience, feelings and life only and were from her (Katy) vision and concept. The other two songs, Part of Me and Ghost, were written solely by Katy at first but they were later given to Bonnie to put the final touches on them. That's not for sure, but it is the most likely, as Bonnie has never really talked about being involved much with those songs, or even if she has, she didn't talk about them like she had as much as input on them as she had on the other songs. Try again.

I think her last few singles flopping and Taylor dominating really made her afraid. Which is a good thing. She needs to be more grounded and realize what she is.

You try SO HARD to prove your 'point'. Sorry to break it down to you (actually, I'm not sorry about it at all), but it's not working, and you only sound heavily delusional to the extreme.

You people are reaching and are completely clueless and wrong, it's not even funny.

Katy's been taking long breaks between albums for her entire career. It's not just this one. She released One of the Boys in June of 2008, and then released Teenage Dream in August of 2010, and after that, she released Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection (a re-release) in March of 2012, and she released PRISM in October of 2013. The only reason she and Gaga went head to head in 2013 was because Katy finished recording PRISM in July of that year so she obviously had to release the lead single and the album around that time. I'm pretty sure it was accidental and wasn't done on purpose, and I highly doubt that it'll happen again. I mean, after her divorce (and even when it kind of started to break down), Katy was emotionally damaged and hurt very bad. She had to take on a journey to soul search and find herself again. She did and that inspired her to make PRISM. I think she started writing that album while she was on that spiritual journey. Katy was in a very dark chapter of her life and she went down that dark road and found the light at the end of the tunnel and let it in and let it to reflect her. All that (or most of it) happened in late 2011-early 2013. In that period of time, Katy released two singles and one reissue album (2012). After that era, she disappeared from the scene and in mid 2013, she had to release new material anytime soon. It's no wonder why she decided to start the PRISM era in that time. Stop reaching. I also think it's because Katy doesn't want to be overexposed and she herself has said that it's okay to be missed, which means she doesn't mind being missed and then bursting into the scene again.

Economy

Nice work ethic, Kathryn. Gaga had to break a hip before she took a rest :coffee:

(jaaaaykaaaay, take your breather, girl )

she already busted her knees though

Gaga: busts hip

Katy Perry: busts knees

Adele: busts vocal cords, needs surgery

These gurls gotta slow down :rip:

Maybe she will go after Britney this time. She would win that one 100% and she would get loads of good press for dominating another female popstar again.

So much BS here based on the assumption only one popstar can succeed at a time. Back in 2009-2010 we had several burning up the chart. Gaga and Britney both suceeded in Spring 2011.

On the other hand, Bionic, MDNA, and Rebel Heart had no competition from any other major female release.

Press would have backlashed Gaga regardless in 2013. If they hadn't made Katy comparisons, it would have been more Miley ones. Fact is, Q4 is the desirable time to release, You want to release then, there will be competition,

You do know you're being serious while most of the people here are just joking?

You do also know you're wasting your time writing essays to defend your fave?

You do also know we don't care about all the "reasons" you find to the PRISM VS ARTPOP in 2013 and to the Katy & Bonnie writing together?

You shouldn't give people attention, if they don't like your fave, be fine with it, after all it's your fave, your choice, your taste, not everyone is gonna like it and that's okay, it's life.
