They're probably doing what iTunes is doing which allows you to set photos to your playlists. It sounds a lot creepier in legal talk but I imagine it's pretty innocent.

Yeah, for some reason the first paragraph of the article was conveniently ignored by the OP, Spotify reworded their privacy policy following this and apologised for its wording - adding that for things like this, it would occur following express permission.

I'm surprised people worry about terms and conditions when something new is introduced when they didn't bother reading the first one they signed
