OT: I'm really glad someone she looks up to praised her instead of calling her music reductive. :flutter:

As I said before, 2015 is the year when Madonna gets karma for throwing Lady Gaga under the bus in 2012/2013.

While Lady Gaga is being praised for her performances, winning Grammys and scoring #1s with side projects, Madonna is flopping with comeback albums, falling on her ass at Grammy's and being exposed for her lack of talent.

More and more people are respecting and missing Lady Gaga as a singer and as a performer, while Madonna is being seen as a try-hard who is past her prime.

In short, all is set for Gaga to come back and slay us with #LG5. Poor Medonsters! :applause:

Karma is a b---h. Gaga didn't ignore everything for nothing... Now it's her time.

She doesn't have Madonnas unmatchable stamina, nor Iron Maidens authenticity as rock performers. So I guess she's none of those legends, but she has a good voice like many other pop stars so that counts for something!

:omfgaga::omfgaga::omfgaga: Stay pressed, go back to MadonnaNation

Something irrelevant.. Is it true that before some years she asked to see them backstage and they didn't accept or were doubtful? There is a fan of Iron Maiden who told me that.

He likes her back, he said those nice words to that interviewer, but inside he was like...

Queen of making her own pseudo-fans pressed by getting infinite praise from LEGENDS, not just peasants. Who else but the queen of music? Singing jazz since she was 13, going to dance classes, playing piano since she was 6, going to heavy metal bands concerts and listening to Bowie everyday.

I never liked those Madonna comparisons, because Stefani is on another whole level. That's why she never liked to be called the queen of pop, because that title sounds as exactly as it is... Pop. Nothing else but pop.

I'm so happy for this girl

Although I dislike her past few albums, I love Madonna. Her influence on pop culture is undeniable and her discography is legendary. Madonna is not known for her vocal abilities, so comparing her to Gaga on vocals is a bit arbitrary.

Gaga's vocal skills and flexibility with different genres of music is so impressive that no other current pop girl comes even close to her in that aspect :flutter:

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

I'd love to see these other pop stars go from singing pop to rock to funk to classic musical theatre, to jazz torch songs, and, I dunno, throw in some Edith Piaf while they're at it.

:bye:

Plenty of pop stars excel in multiple genres : Nicole Scherzinger, Ariana Grande, P!nk, Christina Aguilera, Allie X, Kelly Clarkson and many more. Gaga's not the first and surely not the last to showcase diversity. I guess we can call them the next Iron Maiden as well can't we?

Again, Bruce Dickinson gets it but you don't.

Who cares about Madonna's stamina she's not a 100m sprinter.

And she wasn't saying she IS any legend, she said who she prefers to be compared to or called "the next_____" and it hurts you because it isn't Madonna.

She doesn't just have "a good voice like many other pop stars", her Oscar performance and Jazz performances prove otherwise and what other pop star is getting praise like this from Iron Maiden, Kiss, Alice Cooper...? They obviously see authenticity in her.

I don't say this often but...stay pressed.

She is the same person that personally thanked Madonna on her Fame CD booklet, claimed to be "the hugest fan personally and professionally of Madonna", named Madge as her main inspiration while writing Born This Way along with Prince, admitted she set a goal to recreate the revolution Madonna launched three decades ago and the list goes on. One mini backlash later and she already denies Madonna as an inspiration on her interview with Greek People Magazine, says she does not want to be compared to Madonna and makes a ridiculous, out of the blue statement that she wants to be the next Iron Maiden under the theory that her fans are identical in terms of spirit and personality when it couldn't be any further from the truth. Any human being with a rational thought process would see through her ingenuine attempt to distance herself from the Madonna comparisons, which is okay by the way, It all revolves around how she chose to handle this scenario and how badly she contradicts herself.

They haven't excelled as much as Gaga. She made an impact on pop music, none of those other artists were able to do. Gaga got a title in one year that took Madonna 30 years to get, The Queen of Pop,so stop acting like Lady Gaga is like every other pop star.

And that Fame booklet situation was before she knew what an attitude Madge can have. We all know karma got her when her new album didn't go number one and it couldn't outsell CTC in their first week sales. Try to catch up, it's 2015.

What's that? You couldn't say dancing, singing and performing skills and you brought up "unmatchable stamina"? :lmao: A mess and a half! These madonna "stans" who only know her discography starting from Confessions on the dancefloor, amaze me!

Body and mind coordination, artistic focus or mental and physical stamina. The most rare qualities in a performer. Can't say I'm shocked that you're only hearing this though.

Starting from Confessions? It just happens that I listened to every Madonna song (released and unreleased) from 1979 to 2015, watched every performance & every interview and the same applies to Gaga, so you can't accuse me of making assumptions as a result of lack of knowledge on both sides.

Nicole Scherzinger proved to be a fantastic opera singer, Ariana Grande proved herself as a great broadway performer and interpreter, P!nk has godly rock vocals and Kelly had showcased amazing Jazz & folk vocals. Gaga's not the only artist of the new wave to broadcast her diversity as a musician you know. Madonna's impact on culture and the music industry has yet to be matched by any other female artist, she's still the Queen of Pop.

It's always entertaining seeing you people give Gaga full credit for the C2C era when in reality the audience paid so much to see Tony first and foremost, and it's pretty dull to brag about the Grammy C2C received when it obviously was because of Tony, he's always been the Grammy's favorite artist.
