SISTERV 3,887
nnnnnn just no She isn't a living legend like Michael was, she's dropped from that podium no That is ridiculous. Once a legend, always a legend. She has sold more albums than any female and consistently made headlines for multiple decades. She is the highest grossing female ARTIST, and the fact we are talking about her "floppage" 33 years into her career shows her legendary status. Barbados 1,004
As to why Barbados hasn't been banned or warned is beyond me. Banned for my opinions? Ok then youtube.com/watch?v=BR5ZKUKVSEI delete the <wbr> bit
Jjang 2,262
Banned for my opinions? Ok thenWhen you claim Madonna's not a legend under the theory that no one ever mentions her as an inspiration (yet you carry a Lady Gaga avatar) it's kinda hard to take it as an opinion as opposed to a boring attempt to troll. Economy 50,276
she can either 1.) renew the contract and keep touring (Live Nations needs to agree on this) or look for someone else to promote her. Gaga has a 5 album deal with interscope, she has done 3 (TF,BTW and AP) TFM was released as an EP so i dont think it counts (even though it is an album) and C2C was a duet album release in part from interscopes and from tony´s record lable so it didnt count. Gaga still has at least 1 more album before her contract ends. when it does end she can renew it again, or start her own lable like miley did (pay the album herself and then keep all the profits and promote herself without a lable to control her) then her career would really go into decay lets be honest
andy232000 12,160
then her career would really go into decay lets be honest promotion wise yes, but she would be finally able to do what she wants without them controlling her. and also (not that its important) but without a lable gaga gets 100% of the money from album sales. and she has a separate contract with Live nations so she can stil tour
Alcina Dimitrescu 1,157
Queen of Tours I'm sure someone else will pick her up if LN doesnt renew the contract. Gaga said herself this upcoming album is her 5th. she's either counting C2C or TFM as an album. But that doesnt mean they count for the contract. GloZell Green 11,723
SECOND TIMETHIS TIME IN CAPS, MAYBE ITS CLEARER FOR YAMETACRITIC NOT WIKIPEDIA Stop quoting me As I said before multiple times the negative reviews were erased because ANYONE COULD EDIT IT. Weeks before it said there were also negative reviews and included the Forbes one, but now it's gone. JusKeepBreathin 19,311
Michael never made an album in the digital era so how does the comparison work? Madonna's lowest before the digital era is 6 million and that number hasn't been updated since the 1990s. I'm sure more people have (or illegally downloaded) Erotica by now as it is seen as an infamous cult album. Michael has spent a large deal of his career hyping himself by the way. Sony spent astronomical amounts of money on him and paid publications. Look up his "artist of the millenium" deal his management paid for. Guess that makes up for Motown not paying for titles and certifications.Right so Michael's sales are exaggerated and Madonna's are not. Gotcha. Jjang 2,262
Right so Michael's sales are exaggerated and Madonna's are not. Gotcha. Certified units (not sure if album sales or record sales) : MJ : 175 million.Madonna : 170 million.

craig 680
No difference, they both revolve around the same 29 professional reviews, all which are accessible to read on MetaCritic. Once you're a legend, reviews are often prejudiced in your favour. The reviewers were kids who grew up listening to your classic work, etc.Look at how Katy and Lana got much higher scores for their last albums as opposed to their classics, Teenage Dream and Born to Die. Review scores seem to include esteem for past work.
