shaneybaby 450
ridiculous. poor girl can't clear her sinuses without an attack. if anyone think she would do coke in an open space around all of those people they're delusional. i doubt she even does it at all, but if she decided to, it would not be in a room full of people

LoveandMagic 1,731
Oh please. Cocaine is sooooooo 1980's. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
StrawberryBlond 14,807
I don't honestly think she did coke, sisI know, I just wanted someone to address what I wanted to say and because you had quoted the gif, I decided to go for you.Are you seriously dragging her for blowing her nose now? You've reached new lows. I'm not dragging her for blowing her nose, it's the way she got people to crowd round her to shield her from view, in the same way that a group of girls might crowd around their friend while she's whipping off her top to change her bra. Too much for the situation, basically and made it look unnecessarily suspicious. When you write an essay discussing how a pop star blows their nose, you might need to step back and look at your life. I'm partly critiquing the culture of d--gs in the industry and the way the media handles d--g scandals. And the absurdity of making a story out of this. You may say it's a waste of my time but you're wasting your time by telling me how I shouldn't be wasting my time!

Hey, I wasn't the one complaining all the time about Taylor being talked about on GGD. You are the one complaining about too many threads about Taylor, but at the same time making your own thread about her or commenting several times with lengthy comments in every thread. You are contributing to the "problem" you are complaining about.

I'm more annoyed at the media for this as opposed to the distribution of the story. I've told you before that I handle my annoyances differently to you. It doesn't make me wrong for doing it just because you disagree. I think the idea of "just stop talking about them and they'll disappear" only works if most people dislike them. Taylor's not going anywhere even if her haters silence themselves, so I'll just be vocal.

You were complaining about having to see all the news about Taylor, but then you are heavily contributing to the news and threads...even making a thread of your own. Comment away! You are just adding to the very thing you were complaining about. Lol ;)

The only stories that really bugged me where the ones where journalists made overblown praise like "1989 is pop genius" or "1989 is the best pop album of the last 10 years" and outright ludicrous, downright diabolical statements like "Will 1989 be the last album ever to go platinum in the US?" (whoever wrote that should be sacked on the spot). It makes me mad to see the media give such wild bias towards her. And I obviously can't help thinking that it's so overblown that her team pays for it. And I want people to take notice of this and possibly agree. And if enough of us call them out on it, maybe the media might come back down to earth. I've seen critics swayed by public opinion before (giving mixed reception or slamming an artist's debut, but then the public loves it, so they make the reviews of the follow-up album a lot more positive, even though it was basically more of the same - it happened to Lana Del Rey and Ed Sheeran). Maybe the media can too. I've made no secret of how I support the idea that we should decide how good an artist is, instead of being fed bias by the media (who may have been bribed). You said that it bothered you that she was doing so well and you were having to see about it here in the Entertainment section. (Because for some reason, it bums you out when it comes to your faves) You wanted to escape the fact that Taylor was doing so well, and so you were upset that you couldn't do so on a Gaga fanforum. That's what you stated on several occasions last month, but now you have a different story. My reply is what it has always been...you are in the wrong section if you want to avoid news about other artists and you have free will...YOU decide what threads to click on and participant in. Now, you are adding to what you were complaining about. As always, anyone is free to comment on anyone and anything on this site in a respectful manner. I was just pointing out the hypocrisy in your comment on the last page. Like I said....post away!

I was just pointing out the hypocrisy in your comment on the last page. Like I said....post away! Maybe you misinterpreted what I meant earlier. Or maybe I could've put it down better. Of course it bothers me when I see someone I don't like succeeding so much, but I can handle it provided I don't have to deal with the fan's reactions to it. And on GGD, I see so much gushing over Taylor, not just on threads about her, but everywhere. That's when it gets too much. To be somewhere you thought was safe and then it gets infiltrated with Taylor gushing. If I choose to be part of a topic about her, that's one thing. But not having a choice in the matter is when it gets annoying. GGD is a major force in my life and I use it as a means of escapism so whenever I think I'm in a Taylor-free zone on here and she worms her way in, it gets to me. I have admitted that I follow the artists I dislike as much as the ones I like. When you review music, you get like that. It means I'm used to following the movements of artists (especially any clues to suprise album releases to be prepared to slot in) and it's a second nature to comment on every little thing written about them. I wasn't this obsessive before I started reviewing. I can't just ignore an artist I dislike because I'll have to review their album. And I'm part of a forum where current popular music is a major element. I don't have to even click on a Taylor thread to encounter her presence, as merely reading the title counts (by the way, is that her face as the logo for the Entertainment Talk section? If not, it looks just like her). Complete ignorance of her can't be done, unless I stop doing the things I enjoy in life. And she's everywhere. So, can I really be blamed for getting out my frustrations?

So, can I really be blamed for getting out my frustrations? GGD is safe, for the most part, from the gushing of stans of other artists IF you stay in the Gaga threads. The problem lies with hanging out in the Entertainment thread. Even then, you have the choice of whether to click on the threads about any artist that you are trying to avoid. It is YOUR choice to click on threads or avoid them. The Entertainment section isn't going to be a Taylor-free zone, no more than it is going to be a Lana-free zone or a Madonna-free zone or a Katy-free zone. Why would you expect the Entertainment section to be "safe" from any artist? Just because you don't care for certain artists, you expect everyone else to feel the same? This section was designed for discussion on artists other than Gaga. If I go into this section, I know I am going to see threads on other artists. It is my choice whether I click on certain threads and then if I decide to comment on these artists. No one is making you read every thread about Taylor and comment repeatedly. That's all on you! There is absolutely nothing wrong with commenting on artists you dislike. The inconsistency comes when you are complaining about the amount of threads or attention a certain artist gets, but participating in every one of them with great frequency and even making threads of your own dedicated to the person that you are saying you are trying to escape from. You are doing the very thing you are complaining about. You are "trying to escape" by focusing on the very thing you want to escape from.

When I talk about a Taylor-free zone, I'm referring to threads where the topic isn't even about her. Then someone just brings her up in passing and gushes. Not using this as a true event, but for example, I could be in a Lana thread when a Taylor fan suddenly comes in and says: "Even if Taylor did copy Lana with Wildest Dreams, she's did the style better than Lana ever could." I've seen numerous excuses to gush about her on topics about other pop stars too (usually something along the lines of "But who cares, Taylor's slaying everyone right now"). This is the kind of thing I'm talking about. Gushing is understandable in Taylor specific threads, majorly annoying in threads that don't directly concern her. Well, there does appear to be a problem with my comments, considering you criticise me for expressing them. I've told you a few times that I like to express my frustration by being vocal and negative about it. It's not exactly productive, but it's better than being physically destructive. If I'm being bothered by the constant presence of something, I'll say something about it. I just can't ignore it. It may not be the way you prefer to operate, but it's my way of keeping sane. Trying to pretend something doesn't exist just makes me think about it even more.

Trying to pretend something doesn't exist just makes me think about it even more. Just like in Taylor threads, where people bring up other artists? Or in Gaga threads where other artists (and you know who I'm talking about) are brought up? The charts thread had to be divided into two sections, due to all the talk about Katy a couple of years ago. That's the nature of this site, since it also functions as "a forum where current popular music is a major element"...in your own words. Physically destructive? Who would get physically destructive over discussions of a bunch of music artists? Are you tempted to resort to those extremes or something? Wow....maybe a walk around the block or some excercise might help? Maybe a kick boxing class, or something? Lol Again, there are some elements you could easily avoid, since it bothers you to the point of getting physically destructive or going insane. You could make the choice of at least avoid the threads that have Taylor in the title, if it is that distressing to see information about some pop star. That's what I would do, if a random artist who I don't know in real life was affecting my day to day life in such an extreme manner!
