BBM Opens at #1 With 412,000 Units/326,000 Sales. Badlands #2

The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind the Madness" has opened up at #1 on the Billboard 200. The album moved 412,000 units and sold 326,000 copies. It's the second biggest unit and sales week for an album this year, right after Drake's "If You're Reading This Its Too Late." This is The Weeknd's first #1 on the Billboard 200, following his previous studio album Kiss Land which was #2. ALSO: Taylor Swift's album "1989" crosses the 5,200,000 mark this week after selling 24,000 copies (34% gain from last week). "1989" has now sold 5,204,000 copies.

This is AMAZING for a new artist with no hits. Crossing 100K is very good considering her status, promo and sales climate.
