The answer may surprise you: Greece is the most anti-semitic country in Europe, where 69% of respondents were found to hold negative views toward Jewish people.

Overall 1.09 billion people, one-in-four adults globally, are “deeply infected with anti-Semitic attitudes” according to a survey commissioned by the Anti-Defamation League.

The Jewish NGO surveyed 53,100 adults in 102 countries and territories in an effort to establish the level and intensity of anti-Jewish sentiment across the world.

This was calculated through an index score that indicates the percentage of adults who answered “probably true” to six or more of 11 negative stereotypes about Jews.

Here’s what they found.:

Only about half of the world’s population has heard of the holocaust

Across the world 46% of people said they did not know about the Holocaust.

Awareness of the holocaust is highest in Europe, where 94% of those surveyed knew about it.

Stereotypes

41% of people said they agreed with the statement: “Jews are more loyal to Israel than to [this country/the countries they live in].” 

The second most popular stereotype was “Jews have too much power in the business world.”

18% of respondents believe that the global Jewish population exceeds 700 million people. The actual number of Jewish people in the world is 13.7 million.

Other stereotypes that people cited:

-Jews have too much power in international financial markets
-Jews have too much control over global affairs
-Jews think they are better than other people
-Jews have too much control over the global media
-Jews are responsible for most of the world’s wars

This really isn't that important or shocking. Modern Islam, ecspecially in the Middle East, holds highly antisemetic views. There's over 1.5 billion Muslims in the world. If you're going to add all the nations in the influence of Islam then 1.1 billion isn't looking like such a crazy number.

The ones who don't know what the Holocaust is are way too ignorant for me to care about their opinion. Like, haven't they read anything about WWII? 

When we were young, they told us that Hitler used to put Jews in ovens. When I started to read, I understood the Holocaust more. I think they were just not familiar with the name.

Islam HAS problems. Islam isn't A problem.

I never said anything about comparing them to others or their severity of antisemistism, nor did I say they were the only antisemites in the world. Plus, there's 1.5 billion Muslims. There's probably a few million white supremacists living in Midwest America and East Europe.
