Technically, the boat was hers because it was abandoned for more than 45 days on her property and the hooligans obviously thought it was hers officially because they wrote "Property of Taylor Swift" on it. I guess it was supposed to send a message so she stops fighting for artists to get properly paid by the streaming services. Disgusting. Even though it wasn't hers, the implication is that the perpetrators didn't know or care but wanted her to get the message anyway. I hope this doesn't mean that her properties have become a potential arson opportunity. I think vandalising property is one of the most frightening things that a person can endure because it suggests "your house could be next, maybe even you." The need to scrawl those words on it is especially disturbing. I wouldn't feel safe in my home if someone did this right outside it. I'm sure she has high levels of security, but even so.
