I genuinely can't contain myself, it's so good. It somehow feels like forever since UV even though it was just over a year ago, but it's still a progression

It really does feel sonically like a mixture of BTD and UV. Does anyone feel that?

I feel like it's more raw than BTD, but as chilled as UV and theatrical as Paradise

Those drums in Religion are very BTD.

I can't believe this  I haven't been so excited about an album in a long time. I hope this is not just initial hype and it really is as good as I think it is

Okay, I just finished my first listen and I think this very well could be my favourite Lana album yet

Does anyone else feel like it ends kind of abrubptly with Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood? I know it fades kind of but like.... I want more :toofunny:

Anyway, here's what I thought on first listen -

God Knows I Tried > Religion > The Blackest Day > Art Deco > Freak > Music To Watch Boys To > High By The Beach > Swan Song > Salvatore > Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood > Terrence Loves You > 24 > Honeymoon

So happy there was more songs on with beats than I thought there would be. The tracks we got before the album (with the obvious exception of HBTB) had me a little worried. But her "muddy trap" description is pretty spot on.

I will not tolerate such disrespect for Terrence Slays You and Huntymoon

I root for you. I love you. You, you, you, you.

I was expecting the Interlude to be the end of the mid tempo tracks but The Blackest Day came and it's one of the highlights of the album, and mid tempo

The more I listen, the more it becomes apparent that the production is nothing like UV, and isn't totally like BTD, but she was spot on when she said the influence was more similar to her debut release.

Riot Poof

I'M OFFICIALLY IN A LANA PHASE.

Changed myself a bit to reflect this (icon and sig).

"Freak" slayed me. This whole album slayed me.

Maybe I'll be able to post my rankings a bit later.

Lana is back.

I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.
