GagaMyBlood95 9,915
Yes, when you read the whole thing and think about it, it makes sense actually.I have always said that I like listening to her new music because it's catchy as ****, but still I can see her intentions and behaviour behind it tbh.. My Little Phoney 658
No surprises here. I honestly don't understand why everyone likes her so much, everything she does is safe and calculated.
HEARTHUNTER 7,611
Less mature? Or just not maturing? As a teen she got credit for writing decent songs from the perspective of an average teen girl. But she's been in the pop star bubble ever since, rather than going to college or having typical life experiences, so now she seems like a 25 year old who i still mentally in high school in some ways (her girl clique, or bad blood feud). Even if she's like a super-accomplished corporate exec in others.I don't know how to explain it but what you said is also true

DanceInTheFlames 154
So... they're mad that she has famous friends...as a famous person...? You could easily say that about Gaga. She always said she hated celebrities, and now look at how many famous friends she has. This **** is getting old.

But some people could argue that it seems she is showing them too much like taking advantage but honeslty she is more famous than most of them so...maybe she collects friends like some collects pokemon but why would we care anyway ... Kayla 7,595
I agree. I started watching Taylor's interviews as 1989 was coming out and I didn't feel genuine soul from her. She acts nice, but I can't help but feel that it's not always backed up with real emotion. Even her speeches at her shows- yes, the words are important, they are sweet, they are great for her fans to hear, and I do think she agrees with what she's saying, she just seems like the girl who leaves a homeless shelter thinking "I'm such a great person for volunteering," you know? And now she has her "squad" that she flaunts around that comes off more as "Look how many friends I have- I must be a really nice person to have friends like these!" (and let's be honest- do something nice for people in the industry, they say nice things about you and recommend you for opportunities- win-win)
Kayla 7,595
And as far as the whole "People are only tearing her down because she's famous! #Jealousy" argument, that does happen. It certainly happened to Gaga. Difference here is that the criticisms people have are valid. People made **** up about Gaga and exaggerated her pitfalls. Gaga never had a dick. ARTPOP didn't actually do that bad. And she was never actually "over." With Gaga, things were made up to make her look bad. With Taylor, I feel like the exposure she's gotten over this album have given more people more opportunities to really pay attention to how she conducts herself. And when more eyes are on you, you have more chances for your **** to be called out. Some of it's going to be bitter bull****, some of it's going to be valid. I feel this criticism is valid. Even now when I look back at her old interviews, I see it. Had I cared to watch them back then I would have seen it too, but it wasn't until she became THIS big that I was interested in finding out just who she is as a person. I went in with an open mind and was disappointed. When I did the same with Katy years ago, I went in expecting to dislike her and ended up really liking her. (Now I feel like she's a very different person, but that's besides the fact) So...yeah. It can't always be boiled down to "She's only getting torn down because haters are pressed!" sometimes we were supportive before we became "haters," and it wasn't because of her fame. craig 680
So... they're mad that she has famous friends...as a famous person...? You could easily say that about Gaga. She always said she hated celebrities, and now look at how many famous friends she has. This **** is getting old. Yes, most stars have friends who (1) are also celebs or (2) were their friends pre-fame or (3) are work colleagues of some sort. But most of them don't flaunt famous friends as aggressively as Taylor.(on stage and social media). They don't form a Squad - not since Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack anyway. They don't talk about the wonders of female friendship in interviews and link it to feminism.Female Friendship became Taylor's thing this era the way gay rights and anti-bullying were for Gaga in 2010-11 or bringing art into pop was in 2013.Gaga doesn't hang with "celebs" in the sense of supermodels and Kardashians - it's people she's worked with, or else she's fangirling "legends" who are mostly irrelevant to kids buying music. sipthistea 21,099
I like some things about her. I like that she writes her own material, and she's a very smart girl. But I do find her somehow fake. She kind of wants to befriend everyone, and seem like the good girl in every situation. But I bet that's just an strategy to appeal to more people. And her music feels emptier each time. Her last album is good, but for her standards is very low. Hope she finds her heartbeat and starts making music that she really feels. (Before she becomes basic, like, others )

President Biden 5,898
Katy,Taylor,Miley,Nicki all have there ARTPOP eras coming now. I'm worried cuz Ariaan,Sia and Adele have there aborn this way eras coming. But watch GaGa have the biggest pop era ever and slays and features or 25,Moonlight and Sia's new album and saves R8. #gagastan I got drunk
