Tay-Tays "friendships" are business arrangements. if thats not enough for you than shall i bring up when she booed one direction at the VMAS and gaga left?

its alllllll fake and constructed

OMFG. She had a daddy?!?!?! This is new information to me, literally! :omg:

No, instead of trying to "act accordingly", the pop world is the way it is because people like Taylor are too afraid to stand up for what they believe in and challenge the status quo of what it means to be a musician or in  her case, a popstar, someone like Gaga challenged the status quo and redefined what it means to be a popstar, but everyone is falling back into old expectations of popstars because of Gaga's absence, and it's unfortunate. I feel pop needs Gaga more than Gaga needs pop. Gaga challenged what pop wanted her to be and expected her to be, that's why a lot of people loved Gaga, Gaga was and is her own person, we need more people like Gaga in Hollywood, not people like Taylor. :trollga:

Yeah, but Gaga's posture has also "harmed" her in a way...I comprehend that Taylor might not want to sacrifice her status by going against what's stablished...

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

Whenever there are criticisms of a popular artist, everyone likes to do the whole "media tearing down an artist" thing without actually addressing the points.

I agree with a lot of this, she does seem fake. She's literally like the popular girl at high school who's just friends with EVERYONE. The way she drags all her 'friends' around with her is quite uncomfortable. "It's becoming harder to see her friends as anything more than props boosting her own superstar status." The accuracy in this...

It started when she began doing that thing at award shows where she would get up and dance to literally every song performed, and now she has everyone and their mother performing on her tour etc... I'm sorry but it just oozes a lack of authenticity. She's the ultimate name dropper.

She has this whole girl next door image with the Tumblr and the cats and the yay I love pizza!! thing, and it's all just engineered to make her seem likeable. She doesn't really have a personality, she's just hugely manipulative. I would love to see something real from her.

the problem with that is that you're so far down the rabbit hole that even if she did something "real" (God knows what that even means) you'd probably still label it as fake on an impulse

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

Not that my opinion matters because I don't keep up with hardly anything Taylor does, but this dude is one to TALK! The society we live in is fake, social media is fake, people who make articles like this is fake! Tom Barnes spent an entire article praising her video Wildest Dreams and then he publishes this crap. What a moron.

Who doesn’t want to build their empire? This is America right? For every empire she builds, she gives back, so I say leave the girl alone. It’s not like she’s joined Isis and is chopping off innocent people’s heads.

If she is shady like some of you say well I say no big deal. Girls will be girls and nobody is perfect.

@Quantum The critics agree with you. Looks like they're rebelling, looks like she'll see her downfall soon :koons:

She doesn't have strong enough convictions, messages, or stand for anything bold enough to be dubbed fake. I don't find her 'fake' and I don't even dislike her for the record, I just find what I perceive as overhyped or overrated to be very irritating. The comparisons to Madonna, MJ or Jesus or whatever just make me laugh and roll my eyes. I just feel like she is just enjoying her fame, growing up and making new friends.

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

I find it fascinating and kind of sad that we've gone from having Gaga, an avant garde controversial performance artist, as the world's biggest pop star, to Taylor Swift, who is as beige and "neutral" as you can get. It feels like we've gone back in time to the '90s when Britney was on top of the world and had this perfect good girl image. Except this time, the good girl image seems to be self-created by Taylor Swift, as opposed to Britney Spears manufactured by a bunch of studio execs. I suppose that's progression in a way. I'd still rather have Gaga as number one. How the hell did pop music go from being incredibly exciting to incredibly boring in such a short space of time?

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

So first they came really hard on her with the s****y comments during the RED era trying to bring her down and when they miserably failed, they found the Fake persona excuse. When they fail again they ll try something else :)

As they do with every pop girl that reaches this level of success.

Not even just a 'pop girl' anyone who reaches that level of success is bound to be brought down. ALA MJ.

I agree with the fact that Gaga challenged the status quo and fought hard to try not to fit the cookie cutter pop star mold.

Regarding what was said about Taylor Swift in the article in the OP, I don't know what to think.  She seems so kind and sweet but I can see how her sudden friendships with all these other stars is beginning to stir up skepticism and controversy from the media and casual fans alike.

I guess time will only tell if what they're saying about her is true or not.  I'm hoping that it isn't.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.
