The pop singer got MTV some headlines (and some subsequent outrage for her breast-baring stunt) as the 2015 VMAs host, but what the about the numbers?

According to MTV, Sunday night’s telecast of the Video Music Awards delivered 9.8 million viewers across 10 Viacom-owned networks.

Despite that, viewership fell 5 percent from 2014. And that’s after the dipped last year too — in 2014, the show slipped 18 percent from 2013.

Honestly as delusional as it sounds...I'm starting to believe Gaga has a huge impact on the views at the VMAs. 

But one must also consider that most of the main pop girls (Rihanna, Gaga, Beyonce,Ariana, Katy, Sia, Ellie Goulding, Lorde weren't there soooooo)

ok but like weren't Katy, Beyonce, Sia, Lorde and Ariana at last year's VMA's? It was still in the single digits. It was in the single digits in 2012 too when Rihanna was the star of the night  

 

For some reason it's only in the double digits when Gaga attends.

I see an improvement from last year's rating but still if Gaga were there, MTV could have had like 11 million views I guess.

If they ignore Gaga and she doesn't attend next year, I predict that they'll hit an all time low at 5 million or less, seeing as how many articles are responding negatively to this years VMAs. But fr, it was tragic  The bad looking outfits, basic performances, scripted feuds, the presidential ****, and how they were able to so carelessly throw the topic of weed around

amm   by my knowledge 9.8 is more than 8.3
