First of all, i agree with the fact that it's a fun, smart album, with very good vibes and catchy tunes, but it's nowhere close to be the MOST IMPORTANT POP ALBUM OF THE PAST 10 YEARS. Of it's 12 original songs, you have 4 clear fillers (Peacock, Circle The Drain, Who Am I Living For?, Pearl). An album with fillers cannot be consider the best of something.

There are 3 albums that comes to mind that had more impact over the years that TD: COADF, Blackout and TFM.

It made history? Sure, it did. It deserve it success? Of course. It's THE MOST IMPORTANT POP ALBUM OF THE PAST 10 YEARS? Hell, no :laughga:

Circle The Drain is far from being a filer. I'd rather take that over LFN as a single.

:lmao: the delusion :lmao:

That album was good, I have it and I love it. But it did nothing in music history. Nothing iconic, nothing changed. If TD hadn't happened the pop would be the same today. So yeah.

It might be a better song, but it has nothing to do with the album's theme. That's why it's a filler. On the opposite, LFN matches perfectly with the album's themes :trollga:

There is no denying that Teenage Dream was a really good era for her. i'm not a Katy fan but i sung along to every single she put out. The number ones were well deserved.

No matter how you try to spin it, it is simply not true that TD was a commercially "more successful" album than TFM when you look at the hard facts, the SALES. :)

I am not trying to "spin anything". It's all plain facts.

Not that it's worthy of being the most important pop album of the past ten year either, but One Of The Boys is better than Teenage Dream, so no.

Honestly, the most important album of the past ten years has to be Born This Way, in my opinion.

Why in the f*ck did you sign up on this site?

All it seems you're here to do is cause trouble. I could really care less if your a KatyCat, don't come to a fansite of a different artist if all your gonna do is cause trouble and call anyone who shares a different opinion than you pressed.

I'm actually not pressed at all, however, I DO NOT agree with the article

Yesterday, VH1 named Katy Perry's 2010 album Teenage Dream as the "Most Important Pop Album Of The Last 10 Years".

I don't know about you, but I think this is pretentious and this album is being overrated. It may be a 5 #1 hits album, but I don't know which is the cultural impact of it. I think there are more iconic albums in pop history from the last decade.

Sooooooo...Your thoughts?

It's iconic in the sense that her team milked the hell out of the album and promotional schedule. Very successful era no doubt but I wouldn't really call anything she's done iconic or memorable.
