I thought you meant you take websites like Billboard's word for it and therefore you wouldn't know what you are talking about. TimisaMonster 31,073 Posted August 25, 2015 Share Posted August 25, 2015 I'm listening to the album as I type this...I have been watching the videos she's released and I see that the theme is consistent and she has a much darker and deeper story behind the bubbly cute musicThe overall songs may begin to sound similar, but the lyrics are simple yet complexI think it deserves a much higher rating than 2/5...she put in effort and directed the videos herself...Billboard just doesn't like the overall vibe and maybe the theme creeps them out a bit coming from a grown woman, but it's not meant to be taken literally AT ALL...it's mostly symbolism Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify! I agree with them on that particular line ("Dad's with a slut" etc), that was pretty cringeworthy and hard to overlook while listening to the track. She does lack nuance at times.
