It's been discussed a million times before but eh I'm still gonna drop this here :flirt:

as much as i love this photo... it doesn't have any sort of link to the theme of 'ARTPOP' besides possibly being a reference to aura

Better Day

It is creative and beautiful like the album. :legend: Everything about ARTPOP is perfect.

Imo there have been fan edits of the cover that really showed the potential of the design without the ridiculous execution. For example:

these are horrendous, imo. :eww:

I mean, I can appreciate the fact that it's a very good representation of the philosophy behind the album. But visually it just rubs me the wrong way .

It works a lot better without the intrusive/distorted font:

But I suppose that the intrusive and somewhat messy nature of the font was all intended by Gaga, so I can't really argue with that. As I said, it fits the philosophy of the album and I respect that creative decision. It's just a little insettling for someone like me who likes visuals to be a bit more clean, structured and polished .

If she could have used this version and made the gazing ball reflective, it would have been more iconic. While Koons is a very talented artist, he is also very cluttered when it comes to his art.

I do agree that the messy cover represents ARTPOP better than this subtle photograph. But even a simple photo like this could be interpreted in a million ways. It always reminded me a bit of an old greek head statue for some reason. The photo also gives me the vibe that something is about to happen. Like she's ready for things to be thrown at her with the mask.

oooh i like the second theory.. would have been interesting to see paint being launched towards her but not hitting her... if you know what i mean? haha

As Didy already stated, It's a lazy attempt. It fails to provoke or at least leave an impression like her previous album covers did. But then again, almost everything in the ARTPOP era was poorly executed and the album cover is not an exception.

Bad Bromance

I love how colorful the album cover was compared to the dark covers of the The Fame, The Fame Monster, and Born This Way.  It was very nice to see something colorful and pretty!

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

Morphine Prince

It looks amazing both ways, physically and digitally imo and it is her best album cover.

Yo ARTPOP. I'm really happy for you. I'mma let you finish, but The Fame Monster had one of the best cover of all time. One of the best covers of all time.
