Dexxx 1,393
I agree, there's no such thing as overproduced music. People just say it because they don't like how the music is produced. All I ever wanted was 🅻🅾🆅🅴
Gohan 16,491
Sexxx Dreams. No I know what you mean, but that's not overproduced. That's retouched/perfection-ed (you know Gaga is a perfectionist, but it still doesn't mean that the final product would be better than the former one) tryna go ask Alice, tryna catch that rabbit
Benji 20,113
People use it to describe two different things. One being when they believe there's too much going on in a track and it makes the song sound messy, loud or busy to them. This is a complaint some have with Born This Way.The other being when they believe a track has been worked on for too long and has resulted in the song sounding not up to the standard they believed it must have been at once during the making. Some have this complaint with ARTPOP.
Brooke Hoegan 1,018
yes, BTW the song for example... it has sooo many sounds (look at its multitracks) that are completely lost among each other and not noticeable when you hear them all at once in the song and it all comes to its climax in chorus, where the instrumental becomes a BIG FAT NOISE
JusKeepBreathin 19,311
Any Ciara album is an example of overproduced pop and r&b. Swan Heart 7,382
Weren't many people disliking Born This Way when it came out? Being all overproduced and blah blah blah..And when ARTPOP came out, so many people seemed to adore Born This Way. ARTPOP became the overproduced dissapointment.....I'm pretty sure that when we finally get to the new pop album, ARTPOP will be prised to the stars.I'm not even sure that most people know what 'overproduced' is.. People just throw it like it's nothing. It's kinda like the word 'pretentious'.. It's been used so many times that it lost its meaning for me. They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.
Riot Poof 2,236
Yes. I can't personally pinpoint it exactly, but some songs just overwhelm me with the amount of musical content they have. There's only so many instruments you can have playing at the same time until they all start competing for sonic space! It's not a big deal to me tho. I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.
