Do you think Gaga will do well if LG5's lead single is of this nature?

Remixes are inevitable. Artists' music gets remixed all the time, but the original song is still the one which is the most listened to, hence there's nothing to worry about that, the original track will still get the most attention. The one which charts is the original track, a radio remix wouldn't utterly destroy its fate.

She's working with RedOne again but if you have read the OP, you must have noticed how I mentioned pop music can come in the form of singles #2 and #3. I'm not saying RedOne is making an album full of ballads with no pop music at all now. I don't get the "she's not Sam Smith, Adele, Lorde" point because Lady Gaga was not expected to do jazz with Tony Bennett and yet she did it. I don't see how she can't release a ballad/mid-tempo song just because she used to do hardcore dance.

I did read the original post. I am saying that I personally don't see her coming back to the GP scene with a ballad and or mid-tempo song. Yes, later on I can see her releasing one for a 3rd, 4th, etc single, but coming back to the pop scene with one? No. That's my opinion. Sam Smith (Except "Latch", which he was featured on), Adele, and Lorde don't release dance music, their style of music is that of mid tempo slower songs. That's what works for them. She did a side project with Tony Bennett for fun, but pop dance is her roots. I don't see her leaving that anytime soon especially for her upcoming single. If she ends up releasing a ballad than I'll eat my own words, but I don't really understand the point of over a--lyzing speculation for the sake of doing so.

I am not a fan of Gypsy but a lot of people wanted Gypsy to become a single though. Even radio stations in my country were playing this song when they usually don't play non-single songs.

As a first single tho...it needs to slay and bring the first taste of the rest of the album and era

It wouldn't be wise to start off with a slow ballad song...

In this moment I know nothing.

I keep seeing great songs flopping and bad songs smashing. I hate people taste right now,

Ballads and that sort of thing don't work as lead singles, you need a song that will make an impact and then you can do the slower ballad songs after. Lorde and Adele both had quite mid tempo leads but both songs have a really strong beat throughout - I'd like to see something like that, (id like to say an anthemic song but then it would get a little bit Roar).

Talking of ballads though, I can't wait to hear what she's written about whist being in love. I always thought You & I was one of her best and that was about Luc Carl lol.

She needs to switch it up. I love the dance/EDM music but let's be real it'd be nice to see a change for once from all the b.s. on mainstream radio today. I'd love to hear a great power ballad where Gaga's vocals are on point and the song is just right. If her cards are played right and she does that for the lead single of LG5 then it'd be monstrously successful. Don't downplay the potential success when it hasn't even happened yet.

I think she definitely could. It would be a bit unexpected, but not a total surprised. People want to see her display her incredible, emotional, passionate vocal capabilities. I imagine many would feel that would best be displayed in such a manner as you have described.

And nature is not a bad theme, because it's so broad and diverse. It's literally everything. It's the air, it's the sea, it's the soil, our breath, our biology. It's our drives, our desires, our emotions. It's our atmosphere and connection to one another. It's physical and chemical, and therefore sensual. It's love, death, beauty, and chaos. It can be simple or complex.

What I personally want from Gaga is this (and it's all that I require): that she write and perform whatever it is in her creative drive to do so. I think we are likely to get some sort of mix with this upcoming album. I think she wants everyone to be happy and to also really prove herself as an artist. I really can't wait.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

It's a yes from me. The world needs a little break from edm music. It's played out.

I am with you on this. Power Ballad with a piano in the instrumental and make it an emotional song about love and what not and just be simple but not dance. Dance/EDM is done... show case your talent Gaga! Gypsy-esque ballad meets TEOG meets Speechless meets Cool for the Summer hahaha

I think FourFiveSeconds by Rihanna did well and it's predictable that it won't set the sound of the entire R8.
