i don't think so. if anything, the concept behind TF proves that she was socially conscious since the very beginning of her career. imo, her obsession with the warholian ideal—art and pop with their respective spheres—isn't something new when it comes to gagz.

She became a messiah figure with BTW because that's really how her fans viewed her after TFM and the 2nd leg of The Monster Ball explored this as well.

It's interesting how ARTPOP fits into that conversation. Its an evolution

She has been mentioning ARTPOP since The Fame days. That's reason number 1 why I hate when people who loved her at the time called her pretentious during ARTPOP. I was watching one of the Gaga documentaries one of us made and she was basically the same person talking about how she was an artist and not just a singer.

exactly. i said this before but i'm gonna say it again: she has always been the same. she never changed. that's one thing about her that i love and respect.

i think that she always had the ARTPOP concept behind her work, but she only got to explore it in depth during her latest era. so yeah, i agree that she's evolving as an artist, that's undeniably true—and a very positive thing, for that matter.
