Fish romance seems pretty stupid, surely they could make a movie without a romantic element to it Yeah, fish romance is totally stupid, thats why The Little Mermaid was a 200 million dollar flop.I don't see what would be wrong with Dory having a female love interest, not as a driving plot point, just as part of her character arc. Aside from the trailer for Box Trolls and one character from ParaNorman there hasn't really been any gay characters in animated family films. I don't get it. How is it a bad thing? I want "lesbian fish love" in animated children's films in the same way I want strong female characters to be represented in animated children's films. Is it not wonderful to diversify the cannon of classic children's characters so that more children will be able to see people like themselves represented in media?The voice actor cast as the main character in this film happens to be one of the most prominent gay figures in American history, so it's not that weird to wonder if her character will also be gay.If you thought it was a pointless conversation and you didn't care then you shouldn't have quoted me in the first place.
