We shouldn't look at it as adding a women. We should look at is as just another candidate being added. Women have the opportunity now to become president, that's progress enough, they don't deserve special treatment in the election for their gender, that's just as wrong as denying them access Becuase of their gender IMO.

Sure, having a woman in the White House would be historic and it would change social dynamics, but we need someone who is qualified. Hilary is not qualified.  You need to choose the best candidate. Hilary didn't support same s-x marriage for many years and she has remained silent during important topics. Bernie Sanders actually cares and he isn't shady. Also, he would be the first Jewish president.  

Hilary Clinton is the most qualified presidential candidate in American history. Literally. Even if you somehow don't think she's qualified with her past of being Secretary of State, 8 years of the senate, incredibly successful election campaigns for senate election, first lady of the United States, first lady of Arkansas, and lawyer, she's still the only plausible candidate to win the presidency. Bernie Sanders may appeal to young voters or the internet crowd but the country would not vote in a socialist in decades. You need to choose the candidate that's most likely to win the office, not the one that you agree with most. Republicans getting the White House in 2016 is statistically near impossible, and with Trump running for a third party, it's literally impossible. Clinton's the democratic candidate no matter what happens. 

 

Choosing a candidate isn't about choosing the right person for the job, it's about choosing the candidate that can take the White House and lead their party to power. That's Clinton, whether you believe in her politics or not. Thing is, would you rather have Scott Walker who denies science and education, or Jeb Bush in the White House?

I think having a vagina may be helping Hilary, she has used her gender in speeches and I've read articles defending voting for just for her gender and one person did an interesting video where they went to a college and asked Hilary fans why they like her and many said, she's a women. Her gender is helping her quite a bit.

Also, not all politician has a scandal. Bernie Sanders has a clean record.

You say that no matter what a Republican won't get elected, so why not try and get the best Democrat we can? I honestly fail to see your logic. Also, people need to understand the the U.S. is partially socialist. It isn't totally capitalist.

Surges occur in both parties in all elections. Look at Trump. Nate Silver, basically the most accomplished and respected statistician in America puts Clinton's win in the primary's at a 90%+ chance. She'd have to have a heart attack for Bernie to get the nomination, if even that.

Yet ~$600 billion+ is spent on military. I'm sure $500 million for the health care of the women of this country won't destroy the economy.
