Slayer

So, I've wanted to watch American Horror Story for a long time because people have been so vocal about their appreciation for it and I've seen a lot of hype for every season since it began. Since Gaga is in this season, I figured now was a better time than any to give the show a try.

I think Hotel may have been a very bad place to start watching, however. I really didn't enjoy it at all. Gaga, Kathy Bates, and Matt Bomer were awesome, but I didn't like much else. I felt like the story was weak and overridden by shock value. It was too weird for me to care about any of the characters and it just made me uncomfortable.

Should I go back and give Murder House a try and go on from there or would I be wasting my time on something that just isn't for me?

Murder House is great as it has human characters that you can relate to and sympathise with. That's something Hotel is really lacking so far, except for the cop guy who doesn't appear in it much. Maybe give Murder House a go, and if you don't like it then you won't like anything else in the series.

Hotel definitely tried a bit too hard in this episode, but I look forward to seeing where it goes. I think it's definitely interesting and I like the strangeness of it.

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

Mister Gaga

I just watched it again, it was sooooo good! So many questions that I can't wait to see answered. One thing that did confuse me however, Iris said she has never met the owner of the Hotel when Will Drake is being shown around but I thought Elizabeth was the owner? In the scene before, she was with Elizabeth when she slit that girl's throat plus they met in the 1994 flashback. Is Elizabeth the manager of the Hotel and someone else actually 'owns' it?

Elizabeth is the 'boss' of the hotel. Mr. March (Evan Peters) is the owner.

I seriously don't wanna believe the people in the hotel are all dead and this is the Murder House plot all over again :saladga: I am sticking to my theory they all have the blood virus and are somewhat "immortal"

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

IF everyone is dead and attached to the Hotel, at least Iris and Liz aren't cause when Marcy tells them the hotel is up for sale, she tells him they are gonna be thrown at the streets. If they are stuck there, they can't be thrown out, they are there forever.

I think Sally is the only character who is dead....Gaga and Bomer are vampires (she obviously turned him). Iris and Liz Taylor both work at the hotel. And John is the detective who clearly is not dead. Where are you getting the idea that they're all dead? They wouldn't just regurgitate a plot from S1 but if they set rules in S1 where where you die is where you haunt then they still have to follow that rule. I'm sure we'll learn more about the characters in the next couple of episodes.

Elizabeth owns it, Mr. March built it in the 20's :P

I watched the premiere with my straight best friend, we're American Horror Story fans since ever..

And normally he doesn't like Gaga, he was very skeptical when she was announced for the show.. but he decided to give it a try anyway.. he's the definition of the GP for me..

He loved the episode, commented on Gaga's ass saying wow that's an amazing ass, but then made a comment saying "I bet she asked Ryan Murphy do get naked, she gets naked at any opportunity she has, i side looked at him. At the end of the episode he said he was impressed with her acting :legend:

As for me, i liked the episode, but I felt like it was too much at once for a premiere, but i'm excited to see my gurl on tv for the next couple of months and I'm also excited for next's weeks episode

Destiny is for losers. It’s just a stupid excuse to wait for things to happen instead of making them happen

She did a fine job. If you focus on her separate acting, you can clearly see she's doing ok, not the best one of course, but as a whole package (watching the movie/scenes as a whole), she's definitely not missing out. Her theatrics did shine throughout, which is nice.

Let's if see some improvements next time.

Loved it. I thought the set was so brilliant - it was so distinct. Plotwise the premiere really set it all up. The plot's actually really intricate and you do notice a lot more upon a second and third viewing. All these subtle relationships are being foreshadowed.. it's so intriguing.

Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson & Wes Bentley are all studs. My God.

Gaga held her owned against seasoned actors. Her accent it so sterile/cold but there's something so manipulative about it. The Countess can be seductive when she wants to be, can be enchanting when she wants something & can be authoritative and instill fear into her opposition via one sentence.

The orgy scene was amazing. I loved it.

Sarah P & Kathy slayed me. Denis O'Hare = Queen. The little blonde children are creepy as.

omg THIS...like wtf?

They were sucking her blood because they have the "hemophiliac virus" that Ryan was talking about, not technically "eating" her.

Hey guys, lost Spaniard here. I am discussing with a friend about Gaga's "Your son has a jawline for days". Is this some kind of idiom?

I understood it like she is saying a nice thing about his jawline as she is vampire, and she is making a compliment like she could bite his jawline for days.

And my friend says like Gaga bit him, made him inmortal and that he will preserve the jawline he has now for ever.
