I really didn't pay any attention to the chart positions and enjoyed listening to Applause, and Roar isn't that bad of a song either. It's quite catchy. It's just that I do not like Katy Perry as a person. I know it might sound strange, as I don't know her personally, but she always comes off as dislikable & unfriendly to me. Can't help it, she could be the sweetest person, who knows. But usually my feeling about how people are is right.

It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead.

@Kankuro I feel the exact same way! I like a good number of her songs, but something about her just makes me not want to like her as a person!

Roar was simply better, period.

I hope Gaga reassesses the BIG hole in her discography with a clear mind, because if it all had to boil down to one thing, it was her own ego versus others'. It's the reason she is being lynched up to this day, even though she thinks she safely slinks between live performances and TV.

If I were her, I would up the fun and quality and start making risks without alienating others, which was exactly what she did from 2008 to the middle of 2010.
