Robinladen 1,527
Imagine if she didn't write any of the songs herself and her live performances weren't as good vocally.Would that have impacted the commercial success of the era or would she still have made it to the top based on the bops and her unique fashion style? Future Lover 2,588
The Fame's success was never about the singing tbh. The songs were catchy and she was the weird "it" girl. Her decline would have happened a lot faster though.

mariomania1234 11,368
The Fame would have been a fantastic pop album regardless. It's all about the music.I doubt many would care for her as an actual artist though.Oh wait....
sweet spot 3,241
Britney doesn't sing and has two blackblocks albums
UrethraFranklin 434
I think as a new act it really helped her become what she is now because of her vocal chops. People felt more inclined to like her because of her live singing with just her and a piano. I remember winning so many people over with the Poker Face acoustic version more so than her studio versions.
VenusBlackStar 1,301
I think it would have because it would have relied more on the singles and her crazy fashion of the era. The album probably would have produced at least another single or two (I remember in an early interview the label wanted to release Boys Boys Boys as a single after Paparazzi because when Paparazzi was on the air more people were super all about the album but she wanted to move on to the Fame Monster era). The marketing might have just gone differently, but I think the album still would have been as huge as it is now, just in a different way. Creyk 17,819
I think she would have a smaller fanbase because many people become fascinated with her after seeing one of her fierce performances. But it wouldn't necessarily damage her commercial success, no.
Born To Slay 10,996
Britney doesn't sing and has two blackblocks albums Mte, Britney is the eight best selling female artist in American history and she lip syncs every show.
gagzus 15,934
Yes, since the album is heavily edited vocally & i'd still be a fan if she couldn't sing, i love her music, performances and aesthetics more than her voice tbh
djBuffoon 12,123
Her live performances are what have me the hint that she could sing, and she has improved exponentially since then. But, with the exception of "Brown Eyes" and maybe one other track, there's nothing on TF that a lesser vocalist couldn't have done with the help of vocal editing.
