HOLY FU*K

Countess Elizabeth Báthory de Ecsed (Báthory Erzsébet in Hungarian; 7 August 1560 – 21 August 1614)[1] was a countess from the renowned Báthory family of nobility in the Kingdom of Hungary known for being a serial killer. She has been labelled by Guinness World Records as the most prolific female murderer,[2] though the precise number of her victims is debated. Báthory and four collaborators were accused of torturing and killing hundreds of young women between 1585 and 1610.[3] The highest number of victims cited during Báthory's trial was 650.

Ok, now I'm starting to think her character may be inspired by Countess Bathory - she's a historical figure who used to bath in blood in order to stay young. Julie Delpy made a film about it a few years ago, it's called "The Countess". Just a theory.

Haha well, I see people thought about it too :laughga: I didn't even remember Bathory's name was Elizabeth.

For those of you who saw Hostel 2, you'll probably remember the female character who bathes in the blood of one of the heroines - this was inspired by the Countess. The character is even credited as "Mrs. Bathory". Just a little piece of trivia here :)

- If you could be any female character in history, who would you be?

V: Any female character?...mmmmm...there are so many...Eve could be quite interesting, Elizabeth Bathory could be quite interesting, it'd be nice to bathe in the blood of virgins and she had spent the rest of her life locked in a tower, I live in a tower so I think I'd actually feel quite comfortable with it so I think Elizabeth Bathory.
