I, among many I'm sure, wasn't a hardcore Gaga fan until I discovered her ability as a true musician singing and playing piano. Probably the most brilliant move of her early career was making sure that Gaga exposed her piano ability though the CherryTree sessions, radio station visits, etc. In fact, I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks sitting at the piano and singing her head off is where Gaga truly shines as an artist. Her recent slayage of tribute performances doing exactly that just proves the point. And EVERYBODY loves Gaga in that mode of operation.... the "GP", and I mean the GP across a wide age range, not just teenagers in high school, falls all over themselves at how good Gaga is as that style of performer. Unfortunately, from the standpoint of her recorded albums, we usually only get one piano oriented piece per album, and none of those show off her skills in the way that an Elton John or Billy Joel piano pop song would do.I really hope a large part of LG5 concentrates on more organic, piano driven music. If not LG5, then LG6, but that would lose her current momentum. I think the entire world wants that type of album from her and is just waiting for her to do it. C2C, the Oscars, tributes, all have primed everyone for how great of an artist Gaga really is "underneath" all the electronic pop stuff. To do another purely electronic pop album will just kill that momentum.Ultimately of course Gaga needs to do what she feels driven to do, as an artist. However, while on the topic of piano ballads, I feel like I'm the only one who thinks LG5 shouldn't be a piano driven album. For one, I want LG5 to slay the charts and while fans may love her piano skills, etc. GP won't be so affectionate imo. Gaga is a pop singer to the public that is highly influenced by EDM/dance/ electronic music and at this point in her career, a major release of piano ballads isn't going to help honestly. Even if her album is pure Pop, she is going to make sure people get to hear her amazing vocals. I'm thinking she's going to have songs like she wrote for Red and Blue.
