Now, sawing up a whale shark while still alive (will not look at the video) - Asian culture is barbaric and they should be treated as such. Their speech is so irritating. If you think the dog festival is bad you should check out how many forest wildlife are hunted for sport. Slaughtered by the millions. And it's okay I wasn't offended. Their speech is so irritating....the unnecessary racism though You know Asia isn't just China, right? It's Japan, Korea, Taiwan, India, Nepal, and many other countries and regions. Just because our killing goes on behind slaughter house doors doesn't make us superior. There's no need to demonize an entire continent. China isn't more obsessed with the killing of animals then The United States of Hamburgers, Hotdogs, and Hunting. China has no animal cruelty laws. Zip, zero, none, their culture is certainly less compassionate to animals. It's not debatable. Millions of game animals are hunted each year in America alone. I've never seen a deer sawn to pieces Animal cruelty laws in America could be worse but they are hardly praise worthy, as most of them exempt the protection of livestock. It would be more apt to say we have pet cruelty laws then animal cruelty laws. It's actually illegal in some states for veterinarians to report animal abuse. There are no federal regulations on the fur industry, you don't need a licenses to own or operate a fur farm, no regulations means rampant abuse of animals. When it comes to dairy farms there are more laws on the books that protect negligent farmers from being exposed then there are laws dedicated to the compassionate treatment of the cattle. When it comes to animal testing other developed nations have strict approval boards which sign off on studies requiring animal testing, in America our regulatory laws are so lax that not only do scientists not have to justify their abuse and torture of millions of animals every year, but tax payers actually foot the bill. If you are interested in having a better understanding of how awful America's legal structure for protecting animals is check out Animal Liberation by Peter Singer. In some parts of America cockfighting, dog fighting, bear baying (look that **** up), rodeos where bulls are tortured, are all part of the culture. America has a violent relationship with animals. As a nation we glorify hunting, we conflate masculinity with meat eating, and we turn our cheeks to the enormous deadly lakes of feces and congealed blood pouring out of factory farms. We grind up 500,000 male chicks alive every day because as males they are of no use to the egg industry. We have a violent culture when it comes to animals, we just like to pretend we don't. And so is everyone on this Earth. I'm not justifying it I'm just trying to open your eyes so that you can stop blaming it on one race, and realize it's a problem on a global scale. But we all refuse to admit it cause it's easier to play the blame game. And your blatant racism is appalling. China has no animal cruelty laws. Let me make myself clear. I'm not defending these people's actions. I'm trying my best not to blame others which is obviously an easier thing to do. Rather, think of what we can do as people to lessen the slaughter of the environment. I know for a fact that if any other race committed this crime, we wouldn't be so quick to play the race card. Do you know why? Cause we have been exposed to the idea that non-Westerners eat this and that, kill this and that. We love to see the slaughter in other countries while neglecting the fact that it's happening in our own backyard. I don't understand pineapples, so I don't eat bananas. On another side, yes it is very cruel but I don't know why this particular accident gets more attention apart from the fact that it is a protected species, because most animals that are killed for food aren't kill nicely, let's face it, a lot of them are still alive while being slaughtered... but....pretty much the whole world kills animals and most of the time in inhuman condition, why are angry at China? because they kill animals we consider as pets? Police doesn't really care. Police is in every corner in Beijing and they walk past prostitutes, s-x shops with children in them, and walk through the red streetlights. It's corrupt, and I doubt the people in this video will face punishmebt. Please don't generalize. I know that you knew that this comment was coming to you but seriously, stop. And are you serious? Dogs? And don't show me some obscure youtube video proving that Chinese eat dogs cause I've seen it all before. Once again, this is a very small minority that is tarnishing the image of the majority.
