How are those even s-xual lyrics? And even if they are, shame on Taylor for playing it so safe and sugar-coating her songs. At least Katy is honest and straight up clear.

Writing lyrics that require critical thinking to understand isn't necessarily "safe" or "sugarcoating." Things like allusions, metaphors, and euphemisms are common writing techniques, and they require a higher level of creativity than simply being blunt in stating one's desires and experiences. Have some respect for this style of writing.

Writing lyrics that require critical thinking to understand is one thing. Writing sugar-coated lyrics so you won't disappoint your little fans and their parents so you can keep them is another thing. That lyrics of Taylor is on a level where it just depends on someone's perspective or whether they have a dirty mind or not to think of it as s-xual.

There are many songs that use allusions, metaphors, and euphemisms in their lyrics, but they're not sugar-coated like that.
