It furthers mg suspicion that she may have multiple personalities (Jo, Candy, Yuyi and possibly Gaga. And of course Stefani being the host) what I mean is gaga is also an alter and whenever she's not all dolled up normally like "Gaga" would be, that means no alters are out and it's just stefani.

I don't think it's that drastic. She knows who she is but she's just very diversified in her taste in fashion and imagery. The alter-egos are part of performing, not daily living. She doesn't have dissociative identity disorder, she's just an artist.

no, no, and no! dissociative personalty disorder is a completely different thing. gaga is stefani and all her other personas—yüyi, jo calderone—are just her artistic visions manifested in real life. she lives for her art and, more importantly, is her art. that's why there is no point in differentiating between gaga and stefani.

Here's the deal with DID, it is believed to stem from some sort of severe constant trauma that persists relentlessly and is usually physical or s-xual.
