So, how many more shootings until gun control is enforced?

I can't watch movies in theaters without worrying about shootings these days.  In fact, being out in public already worries me.

this honestly. I was at the movies last weekend and the whole time I was thinking about the shootings that have been plaiting our country. It's horrifying.

I don't understand how people want to protect their own outdated amendment rights than the lives of so many people per day, including children...

There is -no- argument that justifies the right to own a gun.

Nothing will be done.  The NRA is too powerful.

It would be ideal to have a better healthcare system and way of diagnosing and treating mentally challenged individuals - get the help they require, sadly there are some (many?) who refuse help.  :(  The situation may be they aren't allowed to have a gun, but if they want one they will get it through illegal means or from a relative.

Truthfully, I don't think I've had a good night's sleep since three years ago when those sweet children and innocent adults were slaughtered at that elementary school.  The idea of leaving the country has occurred to me more than once.

Yes, there is.

Arguments that override the quality of life and safety of all Americans? The U.S. needs gun licensing laws asap, and anyone who thinks otherwise is blind. That's all there is to it.

He doesn't even live in the U.S. and certainly doesn't understand what it's like to live with the amount of gun crime we have here. He's your typical gun nut. :fail:

the same recycled argument :rip:

if the state really did decide to take control, your guns are not going to protect you, they'd have access to the strongest military resources and would crush your efforts easily.

If the state took control, none of the other amendments would "protect" people. That's not an argument for taking away constitutional rights.

Anyone who makes an absolute statement beginning with "anyone who thinks otherwise" is likely trying to avoid a proper debate. :emma:
