Los Angeles Gangs Are Aiming To Kill 100 People In 100 Days,

The recent rise in shootings over the last few days in South Los Angeles is due to a bet that was made between two local gangs last week to see if they can kill 100 people in 100 days.

Social media users have been warning people to avoid the area around Western and Normandie Avenues in South Los Angeles. Proof of the danger occurred over the weekend, when one person was shot dead and 12 were wounded after more than six shootings. This included a 4-year-old boy, who was wounded alongside his 11-year-old brother and mother in a shooting. The shooter is still yet to be caught.

Across the internet, the hashtag #100Days100Nights started to do the rounds, which has sickeningly been used to try and promote the clash. The two Los Angeles gangs are betting which one will be able to kill 100 people over the next 100 days, and they’re not bothered if their victims are in a gang or are innocent.

According to the Daily Beast, this contest was orchestrated last week following the death of “KP,” a member of the Rollin 100 gang.

Twitter user EVILyn, via her account @xvxlynnn_, retweeted the following post that highlighted just how dangerous the area will be.

Because of this increase in violence and shootings, police officers in the area have decided to deploy more cops and LAPD officials around these streets, and they are taking these social media messages very seriously.

LAPD Deputy Chief Bill Scott confirmed that he met on Monday with gang intervention workers, and he told them to try and allay fears of the rise in violence.

WTF?! Killing for the sake of what? Win a bet? Are they kids playing GTA in real mode or what?

Someone please erase this people before they kill someone else.

Plus, gangs? Really? If you tell me you're on a gang in the year 2015 I will definitely laugh at you.

Can I vanish into a cheeseburger pizza?

I'm sorry but California, though liberal, is the ratchetest state in America, just like all the other Republican states.

well its sort of a social conditioning thing. usually its their older brothers that recruit them into the gang and growing up in a place where the gangs have all the power makes you join out of fear sometimes rather than wanting to of your own free will.

back in like the 40s or 50s minorities were abused by white racist gangs and the police and even the US navy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoot_Suit_Riots

after the black panthers were taken out (i think around the 80s)the minority  communities felt unprotected so they formed their own gangs such as the crips in order to protect themselves and because the police didnt care for them (slow response times/police brutality). they felt the need to recruit other neighborhoods but some of the other neighborhoods didnt just want to bow down before them as if they're the tough guys in the neighborhood so a few neighborhoods fought back against them and formed their own crew the bloods.

the fighting between them became even more intensified with the introduction of crack and other d--gs into the poor communities and with that turf wars started and has been going on ever since. the kids today dont even know why they are supposed to hate the bloods in the first place but when you're friend, cousin or brother before you was killed by a blood or crip it doesnt really matter why it started. all you see is the people in that other neighborhood are killing those in my neighborhood and thats enough to want the protection from the gang in your neighborhood. its like a never ending cycle and the way you create peace between them is asking others who have lost family to another gang to just let it go and not retaliate which isnt all that easy to do. its like saying" hey see that guy over there? he killed your brother, now go shake his hand and make peace(its not an easy thing to do).

also a lot of these kids grow up in broken homes with no father and a poor mother/guardian. when you have a rough dysfunctional family at home and the d--g dealing gang bangers take care of you by feeding and giving you new cloths the gang becomes the family that you do not have at home. they become the father figures to you that you never had at home so they have a very powerful influence on you.

you see on TV all the expensive toys that a poor kid could never afford but then look around and see d--g dealers/gang bangers with nice cars or expensive jewelry, its going to attract you.

i dont agree with it and stayed out of gang i cans. what they do isnt right but i can see how some kids can easily get caught in that trap. its a horrible situation and once you're sucked into that lifestyle at an early age it is so hard to break free from it especially when one of the rules of the gangs are if you try to leave the gang you must be killed.

ok thats all i wanted to say :emma:
