Is there such a thing as "too fast, too soon" when it comes to the disenfranchised? To those who face discrimination and hate in every sense, even legally? To those that struggle from the moment they began their self realization, who are told that everything they feel is wrong or immoral? To those that are labeled a "freak" by society? To those who are lumped with the disgusting, like pedophilia and beastiality? No, Raven, with all due respect, there is no such thing as "too fast, too soon" when it comes to those in the LGBT community.

We can save the world. But it takes many brave people to stand up, speak out, and encourage others to challenge our modern laws and misconceptions. This can't happen "soon" enough!

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

I love Caitlyn so much, I've just watched the first episode of her documentary. She was struggling for many years and there was a lot that went on before she became public. Raven is just going off on what she's personally seen. I don't think Cait is going too fast at all. She's an amazing, brave role model!

Caitlyn has the right to choose her own speed.

If Raven wanted to go slow at first it is her own thing.

It's just not that extraordinary to me.

are you from America? American culture is so saturated with male athleticism, it's arguably the most prized of all pastimes. The nfl gets so many tax breaks and these sports bring together a lot of people. The Olympics is an even bigger deal because Caitlyn represented the American athlete and ended up slaying everyone. He was on the wheaties box, he was a huge part of people's lives back then. To now "betray" your gender when you were supposed to be one of the torch bearers for it is an insanely difficult thing to do. Imagine transitioning while the whole world (not just the people in your community) calls you a freak and a man? I don't think I have the strength for it and I don't think you would either, quite frankly.

Of course i don't. I just feel that his story is not that "Groundbreaking' like these online news articles say her story is. im happy for her tho. truly i am.

Raven f*cking Symone can stay the f*ck pressed and can sit the hell down.

Seriously, this is the woman who announced she's not African American but American. Also, she's gay but refuses to consider herself "gay". Not that that would be an issue if she was an open-minded person who just disliked labels. But no, she's just a small-minded former childstar that doesn't want to be categorised and thinks not admitting to being gay will reduce the marginalisation to her worthless career. I feel for Whoopi and those other ladies at The View, what the hell is she doing there anyway? She has no actual reason for being there. She grew up in a childstar bubble and has shown Amanda Bynes-like signs of really strange public behaviour. Who's waiting for her opinion? BYE.

That's the dumbest thing I've seen. If you watch the show, Caitlyn is learning herself. That's what it's all about. She's learning about the community and is going to try and help.

Raven is so stupid for saying that. Should all LGBT people just sit back and not help out the community? Raven is irrelevant to the world right now so no one would have even cared if she tried supporting anything. She says the dumbest things, I swear.

yeah kinda.

But I believe Caitlyn's spotlight was paid for. i think Caitlyn's story is nothing MORE than what other transgender people have gone through.

Agreed that they are definitely different scenarios, but that doesn't mean that Caitlyn didn't live an entire life feeling shame. Money is absolutely everything in the world (At least to me) but she was clearly miserable because you know how she had all that fame and all that money, but she still wasn’t happy. (Wouldn’t that make a cool song?)

But for real, she literally couldn't be herself unless it was 3:00 in the morning and she was in the garage trying on dresses to feel like herself... money or not, that's gotta be rough.
