Miley 5,006
I saw many people react to this thread: http://gagadaily.com/topic/157856-gaga-writing-new-music-with-brian-newman-and-band/I just want to tell you guys that she told me and the rest of us that met her backstage at the artrave in Stockholm, that she now (back in September) understood the simplicity in Jazz LYRICS, and that she had studied jazz lyrics and would write her album like that. I told you back in September that she'd also written music in Scandinavia which Gagadaily also posted on their twitter.

LePetitGAGABLover 21,234
But Jazz lyrics are kinda stupid. For example: They all laughed at Christopher ColumbusWhen he said the world was roundThey all laughed when Edison recorded soundThey all laughed at Wilbur and his brotherWhen they said that man could fly (From Cheek to Cheek)

For example: They all laughed at Christopher ColumbusWhen he said the world was roundThey all laughed when Edison recorded soundThey all laughed at Wilbur and his brotherWhen they said that man could fly (From Cheek to Cheek) Stupid unlike "Uranus, don't you know my ass is famous?" Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?
Coldplay 217
Oh god. Pls no, I love complex lyrics. (Although the simple ones work if pulled off effortlessly, like Vampire Weekend and stuff)
Music 15,215
i hope she draws inspiration from something like Lush Life, creating an amazing ballad with emotional lyrics and melody!
Pop 4,541
Stupid unlike "Uranus, don't you know my ass is famous?" Drag it! The Taylor Brigade: KNOCKOUT
Lady 748
i hope she draws inspiration from something like Lush Life, creating an amazing ballad with emotional lyrics and melody!THIS!It's amazing to hear she said that. That's what I've been hoping for. Her "La Vie en Rose" english version is coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beautiful, natural, deep in the meaning stuff. RBNLM 1,640
But Jazz lyrics are kinda stupid. For example: They all laughed at Christopher ColumbusWhen he said the world was roundThey all laughed when Edison recorded soundThey all laughed at Wilbur and his brotherWhen they said that man could fly (From Cheek to Cheek) I thought for a while that your pointed smileWas tinged with the sadnessOf a great love for meAh, yes, I was wrongAgain I was wrongLife is lonely againAnd only last yearEverything seemed so assuredNow life is awful againAnd the thoughtful of heartCould only be a boreA week in Paris will ease the bite of itAll I care is to smile in spite of itI'll forget you I willAnd yet you are stillBurning inside my brainRomance is mushStifling those who striveI'll live a lushLife in some small diveAnd there I'll beWhile I rot with the restOf those whose lives are lonely too (from Cheek To Cheek) so what's your point? Coldplay 217
Maybe TIHTY is an indication. The lyrics are kinda simple but this also makes them relatable and fit lots of situations That's what I don't like about most pop music they're not personal and are vague and shallow. Hopefully it's going to be Telephone kinda simple (shallow with a hidden meaning) and not Just Dance kinda simple
Echo 327
I'd love simplicity in Gaga again. But deep meaning. Shes so great at that.

Hopefully it's going to be Telephone kinda simple (shallow with a hidden meaning) and not Just Dance kinda simple Do you want songs like Monster? The lyrics are kinda personal but can be applied to many situations. I don't see what hidden meaning Telephone has, I know she explained that it's about her being workaholic and not making time for her friends but it's not really mentioned in the song itself, IDK
