Whispering has no proof of what he is saying about songwriting of Katy's songs whatsoever. He has yet to show any receipts that back up his [delusional and false] claims. The only songs of Katy that she wrote with other lyricists (she did not have them written for her) are Milk Milk Lemonade, California Gurls, Teenage Dream, Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.), Firework, Peacock, Wide Awake, Roar, Legendary Lovers, Birthday, Dark Horse, and Double Rainbow. Those lyricists are Bonnie McKee, Ester Dean, Sarah Hudson, and Sia. All her other songs had their lyrics and melodies written solely by Katy. The reason most of her songs have producers (and one or two songwriters for a few songs) credited as songwriters is because they composed the instrumental tracks (chord progression, beats, tempo, keys, guitar strums, keyboard/synth, bass lines, etc). Songwriting is more than just writing the lyrics and melodies. A few songs of Katy had songwriters who were there to touch up and tweak the lyrics a little bit, after they were solely written by Katy. Katy also has helped/was involved with the composition of instrumental track of some of her songs, too.

thanks for that. I needed to have some faith in Kakatherine :queenga: it still is peculiar though, about her writing process. To each their own I guess?

This is a too big break after half of the Prism era flopped.

She's not going to repeat the success of TD/PRISM. Time for Gaga to come in and get ha revenge! :lolly:

Katy has people like this on all of her hit songs :

Cathy Dennis, is a British singer-songwriter, record producer and actress. After a moderately successful international solo career, Dennis later received great success as a writer of pop songs, scoring eight UK number ones and winning five Ivor Novello Awards.

Anne Preven is a Grammy and Academy Award nominated American songwriter, musician, and record producer. As a member of the alternative rock band Ednaswap, she co-wrote "Torn" which was covered by Natalie Imbruglia  and became a worldwide number one airplay song, spending 14 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay Chart in the US. She wrote the lyrics to this number one song. In 2011, Preven was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media for her collaboration with Zac Brown Band on "Where The River Goes" from the movie Footloose.

Desmond Child is an American musician, professional songwriter, and producer. He is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Dave Katz is an American songwriter and record producer. He has written and/or produced hits for the likes of: Katy Perry "If You Can Afford Me" (Capitol) (co-write/produce)

Scott Michael Cutler is an American songwriter, musician, record producer, and music executive. As a songwriter and producer, he has collaborated with some of the music industry's top females. He co-wrote "Piano in the Dark" with singer/songwriter Brenda Russell which was nominated for Song of the Year at the 31st Annual Grammy Awards. In 2007, he won the Critic's Choice Award for Best Song for "Listen" from the motion picture adaption of Dreamgirls. The song was also nominated for Best Original Song at the 2007 Academy Awards and the 2007 Golden Globe Awards.

Stacy Barthe is an American singer-songwriter. She is a Grammy-nominated songwriter and signed a publishing deal to Universal Music Publishing Group in 2007. Soon after, Barthe would land her first placement, "Blur", on Britney Spears Circus album. Barthe has worked with artists such as Akon, Melanie Fiona, Estelle, Brandy and Sean "Diddy" Combs. Penning album tracks for Katy Perry ("Hummingbird Heartbeat"), Kelly Rowland ("Everywhere You Go"), Miley Cyrus ("Adore") and Rihanna ("Cheers (Drink to That)"), the latter of which hit number seven on Billboard's Hot 100.

This is simply a quick example of songwriters...just six of the MANY that I could have listed who have written songs with Katy. These six, and others I didn't list, are songwriters who have written dozens of top 20 pop hits with other artists, who also were called in to write with Katy. They are the hired guns of the pop music world. They are not brought in to provide "guitar stems, drum beats, instrumentals, tempo" etc or any of that other nonsense. These professionals, who are songwriters by trade...who have written songs for themselves and other artists...who have won major awards for songs or for songwriter of the year...are not hired to provide instrumentals, beats, tempos or guitar stems to songs! :smh:

Katy has someone who comes in to help her write, who is an artist themselves, who oftentimes wrote songs as a solo artist (or in a duo or a group), who are also professional songwriters and lyricists...on ALL of her hit songs. She has professional, award winning artists-songwriters come in to help her write her hit songs.

You see all those songs with Max Martin and/or Dr. Luke? They are the record producers in the music industry that cost the most per song. Those other names listed in songs with those two producers aren't usually producers. (Except for Benny, who works with Max and Luke...although, Benny went on to not only produce, but also to co-write some of Katy's songs after the OOTB album) Those other names are professional songwriters and lyricists, like the ones listed above.

No, I know that Katy had songwriting help on her hit songs, because there are professional songwriters credited on all of those songs.

Katy's manager, Steven Jensen, has given some info about her new album, unofficially called by fans "KP4".

"She'll start writing on this fall, but she'll probably get bored over the summer and she'll start writing(on summer). And then we'll have an album hopefully in late 2016"

Professional songwriter does not necessarily equal writing the lyrics. Songwriting mostly is arranging and composing the songs musically. Know your facts before trying to pick up a conversation and sound smart.

I repeat again, songwriting mainly is composing and arranging the song musically. Writing a song is simply more than just lyrics. You obviously know nothing about songwriting/the process of writing a song. Dr. Luke and Max Martin are also credited as songwriters on a lot of Katy's songs. That doesn't mean that they wrote the lyrics. Just like the songwriters that you named. You contradicted what you said in previous threads, by saying that they're lyricists by trade. But with the info from Wikipedia that quoted, none of them are put as lyricists. Songwriter is a composer in most cases. Benny Blanco, Dave Katz, Scott Cutler, Anne Preven, and Desmond Child are credited as PRODUCERS on Katy songs that they're associated with, but they also have songwriting credits, because they COMPOSED the INSTRUMENTAL TRACK, NOT the lyrics or melodies. That's why people who are credited as producers get songwriting credits. Except for a few cases, you don't even see people who wrote the lyrics to a song don't get production credits for the same song, and there's a reason why.

i'm in no way justifying her working with accused offenders but the difference is gaga's aware of that and obviously doesn't believe the accusations where as almost everyone believes Ke$ha over Luke, and the evidence is substantially overwhelming on their case. Yet Katy still works with him because her money & success is more important to her puppet masters at the label. And nor have Terry or R Kelly threatened Gaga's mother like Luke did to Ke$HA nor have they threatened to end her career if she refuses to work with them continuously or threaten to kill gaga's pets like Luke did.

In all instances they were friendly and good to Gaga so that's all i care about, god knows how many people Luke probably has gone off on and it wouldn't surprise me if Katy has actually slept with him before.

correction: "I don't think she has started yet" was what Bonnie said. It's not like she knows for sure.

The whole thing with Kesha and Dr. Luke was revealed and broke out after PRISM & it's first three singles were released. I highly doubt that Katy will go back to working with Dr. Luke. I think the main reason she never released Legendary Lovers as a single was because it was produced by Dr. Luke.
