I get this weird sickening feeling in my story just reading that extract in the OP. I don't know how to explain it. I genuinely can't find the right words but I know I can't read the full article or I swear to God I'll literally puke.

i feel you. for some reason i was able to read these stories with a relatively clear head. other days i can barely cope with anything even related to s-x haha

Jill Scott has come out and reversed her earlier statements, when the nformation came out about Cosby buying d--gs to give to women so that he could have s-x with them.

yeah that's probably the worst thing azealia has ever said. keep in mind that she is a s-xual abuse survivor herself though. also there's a big double standard when celebrities are accused of rape - white men are even less likely to be held accountable and removed from their positions of power. i think that was part of her reasoning. honestly though we need to believe victims by default

That doesn't make what she said any better. I agree, there is a double standard with celebrities, but when 24 women had come forward with the same basic story, blaming them was downright inexcusable. 

The statute of limitations had long been a thing of the past, so these 37+ victims weren't going to be able to sue Cosby. As we have seen, these women are from all walks of life, many are accomplished professionals, mothers, grandmothers, and wives. What were they going to gain from coming out and telling their stories? Fame? These respected women in their communities didn't desire this type of attention. Telling the world you were d--gged and raped isn't an exciting story to share with your grandchildren and the ladies at church of at the office. It is a humiliating experience and story to share and they were very brave to come forward!

Speaking of the information that came out, he admits he bought d--gs for the purpose of using them for /with s-x (which, that in itself is shady but not necessarily bad- I've bought alcohol with the intention of getting drunk and having s-x with my husband, and other people, especially decades ago, commonly took d--gs and had s-x)- BUT. When asked if he ever gave women the d--gs without their knowing, his lawyer jumped in and wouldn't allow an answer. 

So he gives a shady, yet technically non-incriminating answer to one question, and the follow-up question that could ACTUALLY tell whether or not it was rape he doesn't get to answer.

This is a very essential thing to point out. So many people think these women are speaking out to get money or fame, when they're not going to get anything but peace of mind (as much as they can after being s-xually assaulted....) if Cosby is ruled Guilty.

True. I do think we ALWAYS need evidence to actually convict someone, but the way people ALWAYS seem to just turn on rape victims is really alarming. 

I prefer to not blame anyone or label them a liar unless there is evidence. Same goes for any other crime. That's the way it should be. 

People were so quick to defend Bill because of his legacy; people didn't want to believe he could do such a thing. It's funny how our opinions of a person we've never met can affect how likely we are to believe them and disregard their accusers. Had this many women spoken out against Justin Bieber, people would have been all over him. But with Cosby...they jumped right up to his defense.
