One local person said in the comments that the elevator was already in caution or not passable. Hence, there was these two women watching over the escalator. They said that the child's father didn't went through the escalator, but the mother insisted and went through it. My father wants to see architecture, and I want to see culture, busy markets and taste good food (or bad food, I think it's hit or miss in Beijing).
