I have never screamed in pain because of it, nor cried though, but I did not have it as a small child. I stay out of the sun and if I am in the sun for minutes, I get these scratchy bloody welts, all over my hands especially and my face and neck and sunscreen does not help. Before I figured it out, at stores when I was shopping, people wouldn't want to exchange items with me, like money, because they thought that something is wrong with me, so I looked into what the problem could be. I have thought that it could be Lupus also, but I have not been checked and diagnosed. The sun makes me feel ill and prickly and then scratchy everywhere and I start to get vertigo. It's interesting to get a glimpse at someone who actually has the condition, and I sort of identify with her on the front of having a condition that should not define your life.
