I'm sorry but the VMAs are corrupt. Its supposed to be VIDEO music awards, but they'll only nominate you if you were the big hit or the popular video. AND I'm pretty sure they only put Beyonce in Video of The Year probably because they felt there was no other star Taylor could clash with in that category. 

They couldn't nominate Miley cause she has no new stuff out so they just thought oh you know we'll let her host 

And where as Taylor? I'm beginning to see that she's not so nice after all. I mean she keeps thanking for the nominations but she also says on the side "go vote noww" and in a few days will probably start posting pics of her cats asking her fans to go vote. 

The nominations were based on performance of the product not its quality. REALLY 7/11 FOR VIDEO OF THE YEAR? THERE WERE TONS OF VIDEOS THAT ARE BETTER THAN ALL THE 5 THAT WERE NOMINATED. 

I'm not even gonna watch the show cause Taylor is probably gonna win all the awards.

So the two black artists nominated have WAY fewer views - that kind of undercuts any racial points one would make. Bad Blood is a white-black collab, is got nomed over ones by Taylor I'm pretty sure had more views. I bet if you made the list by views, you'd have a totally non-black list.

I don't think Nicki was originally talking about JUST taylor and then when taylor tweeted nicki when her name was never mentioned, she was in the wrong. this wasn't about just her and not only did she get into it but she continued to be shown as the victim.

I just explained this to my friend. IMO, wrecking ball did what anaconda failed to do. it did the anaconda video's whole s-x thing (in a way) but did it beautifully and professionally which is why it got nominated at won. the WB video is much more visually appealing and pleasing and just prettier (background, costumes etc) than the anaconda video

well I personally thought anaconda was going to be the VOTY when it was released last year but after her childish rants and realizing that other VOTY's (Bad Romance, Wrecking Ball, We Found Love, etc.) are much better than it.

And even if she was talking about Miley, she is still just complaining that she lost. Blaming it on skin color when half the nominees are black, and blaming it on being black and a woman when a black woman is nominated, doesn't make any sense at all.

"blaming it on skin color" i literally just showed you a list of similarities between the anaconda video and the wcs video and the only major difference is one of the artists is a voluptuous woman of color whereas the other is a skinny white person. and that STILL doesn't give taylor the right to butt in to the stream of tweets nicki made and furthermore, taylor is not the victim here as she;s being painted by white media.
