Of course it's going to happen. It could be tomorrow, it could be a hundred years from now. Causing panic in the people on the forum who live near the region with the title of the thread you've used as well as '5 days ago' will cause people to think their death is imminent or something. Anyone who lives in the pacific region of the US should know of the earthquake danger there, and I sincerely hope they don't need awareness that they live in a seismically active region. In my view, 'spreading awareness' in the way you're doing it is unproductive.

Your thread title is too alarming though and sounds urgent and frightful, you should change it to something more intelligent and useful with the knowledge of growing research.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

But you're making the assumption that people know better, which the majority don't. I've too always thought the California earthquake thing was never gonna happen, so for years I've forgotton about it and left my guard down. No one here in CA talks about earthquakes anymore. But then this breaks out and there's no harm in raising awareness that it COULD happen. Saying it could happen a hundred years from now is also trying to downplay it

Watch this video of Americans not even knowing what July 4th is about. We're living in a hipster culture where people are stupid, skeptics, and mindless zombies. If they don't even know what 4th of July is what do you think they're gonna pause for a moment and think about the dangers of a possible earthquake? Little awareness goes a long way.

:lmao: You reminds me with those Jehova's Witnesses folks, OP!

Your method of alert are based on theories, THEORIES, which may and may not happen. It is not to be taken as one and only true fact cos it isn't.

And by alarming an online forum as if the disaater is imminent in veryvnear future is not the best way to remind people either.

Cos nobody knows when it will happen.

Which in the end, like I said earlier, you reminds me with Jehova's Witnesses right now.

"Repent! Tsunami is near! Welcome the Kingdom of God!!" :lmao:

That's the south pacific, and the tsunami a completely unrelated event. Did you bother read the article or just tried googling things out of spite

Honestly, it was out of spite, but I'm not looking for trouble so I'll just leave it at that.

Inside my head I have the best time

Ok gonna go sleep, was not anticipating such a wave of stubborn reverse minded people who would be such backtrack to humanity... just for the sake of going against something.

and honestly editing the title to "in the next 50 years" is so out of spite and downplaying the whole situation. why do we honestly have such people existing...

a: "let's go march for lgbt rights!"

b: "who cares it's not like it's gonna change anything legislatively"

a: "let's make a petition to stop _______"

b: "stop overexaggerating we can't do anything about it"

a: "here's some info about possible dangers"

b: "it's just a theory, not gonna happen."

I'm placing a bet that you're not even in the Pacific Northwest region to even comprehend. You're typing from across another part of the world like it's so easy.

And it is also so easy to assume that people who disagree with your opinion didn't live in Pacific Nortwest region, when the fact is, some of us did and actually still have logic not to fully trust everything our way, right?

Like, how naiive are you? :laughga:

Did you even bother watching the video. It's a VERY backed up "theory". You can't call everything in science a theory. It is a deeply rounded, deeply studied claim. The Japan earthquake happened. Tornadoes happen, tsunamis happen. You can't pretend everything is magical and safe. **** happens and we have people to predict them. Don't forget we humans are living on a thin layer known as land, a thin layer that only makes up 5% of the earth compared to the 95% of sea and crust below. We're nothing, we're fragile. Call it a theory and see when it happens.

Actually it's 30% of emerged land and 70% of oceans
