I'm really happy for her. Through all the negativity she managed to sell 9M records. I wish nothing but the best for her and I'm really anticipating her next album !

Not records, singles. With albums she is probably around 10m.

And this is only counting singles where is is lead artist.

I know she's problematic and not everyone's fave, but I enjoyed her debut and liked her older stuff even better. So congrats, Iggy Iggz!

Time will only tell whether she has the drive, talent and staying power to become a formidable name in the industry. Hopefully she has learned from past mistakes and is working hard to prove her worth against the detractors. I don't know what she is capable of, but I do know she needs to work on her live performances (as well as watch what she says on twitter). I do however admire her trying (for the most part - as far as I can see) to stay out of the mud when it comes to some of those very hurtful comments and accusations. She's still very young, and I hope she listens to the (legit) criticisms made so that she can grow into a better artist and person. But again, time will tell.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

But then there will always be these pressed haters who will bring out screenshoots of her ancient tweets to claim she is bad person

True. I've seen quite of bit of that in real life too. I knew people in high-school that would say similar things because they thought it was edgy and therefore cool and are now deeply embarrassed by it (not to mention a few got into big trouble for it). Thanks to social media's impact, that stuff can never be erased. Maybe Iggy was in the same boat, she was young, foreign (therefore unfamiliar of our racial history) and therefore seemed naive enough that its plausible that she thought the stuff she said on twitter made her seem really cool instead of cringe-worthy. Maybe because she was hanging out with rappers she thought she had a pass to say it. That sort of stuff is said all the time in the rap world, after all. Or maybe she really is a racist (doesn't Australia have a big problem with racism). I don't pretend to know. Unfortunately this will haunt her career. The only thing she can do is show remorse for what she said in the past and try to overshadow it with her projects. This next era for her is crucial. She's had a lot of success very quickly, but she's also had a lot of very harsh criticism about virtually every aspect of her career, from performances, to lyrics, to image. She is going to have to revamp herself and really work hard at this next album. If she puts out a really good album and improves her live shows and stays away from controversy, she can do this, but it is a hard road. I think she can do it, but time will tell.

Yeah I'm sure everyone of us is embarrased when they go back and read what we wrote when we were younger
