To reduce my argument to that is very disingenuous. I could talk about how Boom Clap (Charlie XCX solo) sold more than Iggy's only solo on that list... We could talk about the sales of all of Iggy's solo work and see how it compares to Fancy/Black Widow if you think it could be all her.

Regardless, you ignored the point that Iggy was appealing as a novelty act. The pop features helped her because she wasn't going to appeal strongly to a genuine rap audience but would appeal to a whiter pop audience.

She got hot around the time of Miley's twerk gate and cultural appropriation uproar and just shortly after Macklemore and the controversy about his Grammy win over Kendrick Lamar and Drake. The time was right for her, but she wasn't going to have any longevity when she doesn't have any skills.

EDIT: +Boomclap was a hit cause of Fancy hype and thag movie. Its success was airplay driven. And usually trendy things are airplay driven

Anaconda is still a very urban song. I mean Nicki has also shown that she can do her pop thing while still finding success on urban radio with her rap songs. Nicki has the word play, the metaphors the annunciation as well as the interesting and versatile flow. That's the reason she is the more successful female MC.

1. I said Anaconda isnt poppy but is fueled by controversy. There is no way it would be a hit without such a video. That was my point. Rap song mostly need either catchy chorus either controversy to be a hit.
