Kate Bush 256 Posted July 16, 2015 Share Posted July 16, 2015 I was wondering that Gaga always choose an unpredictable songs as an "intro" unlike other pop singers like Beyonce,Katy and Madonna..The Monster Ball: DITD everyone loves this song but I think most of thought that she will open with one of her hits..Just Dance, Poker Face, Bad Romance, Alejandro Born This Way Ball: which she used the most unpredictable song "Highway Unicorn"..how random artRave: "ARTPOP" I love this song SO MUCH and the intro was EVERYTHING..but most of us thought that she will open with an upbeat song like Applause, Venus or G.U.Y.? other pop girls..Bey (The Mrs. Carter Show): Run The World...her only hit from the album 4Katy (The Prismatic World Tour): Roar....her #1 single from PRISMMadge (The MDNA Tour): Girl Gone Wild...again her only hit from MDNA album they are all using a well-known songs unlike GagaIts not that I'm complaining I guess that simply shows how different is Gaga. and her intro are always giving me LIFE What do you think guys? When I knew Highway Unicorn was the opening for BTWB, I was like but at the same time I was so slayed by the mechanical horse. artRAVE had the best intro in my opinion, the intro was psychedelic and ecstatic and it sort of brought its audience to another dimension. That was one hell of an experience and I'm saying this out of my experience with videos, I've never been to the show before. Rihanna did open with Phresh Out The Runway for Diamonds World Tour btw. They're not unpredictable in terms of sound, all of those songs just have long intro's that are perfect to extend for a show opener, plus they all (again except for ARTPOP imo) have a dramatic and anthemic nature that kicks off the show in high gear Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

The moment she rose out from under with the climactic chords and then silence before the song actually starts, chills. Had to be experienced in person to be understood. I always thought Highway Unicorn was going to be the intro ("get your hot rods ready to rumble, 'cause we're gonna fall in love tonight"... Is there a more predictable intro? In fact, I'd say Gaga is the only artist who somehow chooses a proper intro, and not just a successful song).
